My main problem with the film is the last fight I felt they went ward with the rocky homage. The fight felt straight out of the OG films. The way the fights were shot and handled earlier in the film was the right balance between realism and Hollywood imo then they threw it all out and the finale. Plus it ended just like the first Rocky film as well.

I felt Star Wars did a better job of keeping it fresh with the new characters and the things they set up in the world.

Mad Max id say is a bit more of a spiritual successor than anything. It's way bigger in scope than the older Max movies.
