I have an android.. just downloaded for free "babbel French" from playstore.. there are other apps.. I watched Rosetta Stone videos on youtube which helped me learn new words n phrases.

I took French in high school so im good at reading but writing and talking is :flabbynsick:

That's what I get for assuming that everyone has an iPhone :snoop:

Ah word. But that's how it is for everyone, if you don't speak it, well then you don't speak it lol.

For how long? I took it for 1 semester but still idk I feel I'm decent enough to learn it. Not decent enough to understand it well but at times I can get the gist of things.

I took French from grade 8-11 in Canada.. moved back to the U.S. after so didn't think i'd need it but now I am back in Canada non French speaking part but still would be an asset if I could speak it so I might even go as far as taking classes..

You should just listen to it and shyt, practice it on here if you can. I don't know about you but with me I feel as if idk it's easy, maybe because of my history in German but I feel as if with a few of the essentials if you put yourself in a French speaking area you'll have it like that *snaps fingers*

If you really want to learn a new language and have the time there is no excuse really. It's not a costly thing these days, Internet has everything you need to learn a language.

Premièrement, le sujet official du Coli pour l'apprentissage des langues : http://www.thecoli.com/threads/language-learning-thread.116689/
First of all, the official language learning thread of the Coli : http://www.thecoli.com/threads/language-learning-thread.116689/

Allez, une petite correction générale,
And here we go for a little general correction.

[...]
Does anyone speak French fairly well here or even get the urge to speak another language?
Oui, il y a plein de membres du forum qui parlent ou qui sont français. J'en fais partie.
Yes, there are plenty of members of this message board who speak or are french. I'm among them.
"Le OP is a fukk boy"

What does this mean in French?
Rien du tout.
Nothing at all.
Il y a d'abord élision du "e" pour le déterminant qui devrait donner "L'OP". Ensuite, "OP is a fukk boy" est anglais donc il aurait fallu traduire part "est un connard" (traduction approximative). Cela aurait été beaucoup plus logique.
First of all, one should leave the final "e" in "le" when the following noun begins by a vowel which should have give "L'OP". Then, "OP is a fukk boy" is english obviously so it should have translated beforehand as something like "l'auteur est un connard" (really so so translation). This would have been more logical.

le francais est mon premier language et je parle anglais je voudrais apprendre l espagnol
A part, si tu n'as pas de clavier français, la tournure de ta phrase indique plus une traduction informatisée. Pas de c cédile, pas d'accent, et "langue" traduit par "language"... Hum, suspicieux pour le moins.
Except if you don't have any francophile keyboard, the way you wrote your sentence looks like a digital translation. No c with cedilla, no accent and "language" translated into "language".... Suspicious at least. :lolbron:
Nous devons faire filet entier en français :pachaha:

I hope I didn't fukk the whole sentence up :lupe:
Nah, pas vraiment ruiné, juste une petite erreur au niveau de "thread" et l'oubli du déterminant ("le") devant "filet". Pour "thread", lorsque l'on parle d'un forum, il se traduit simplement par "fil"
Nah you didn't, there's just a little mistake translating thread and the omission of the determiner ("the") before "thread" . About "thread", when talking about a message board, it's simply translated as "fil".

Le posteur original est un garcon de fukk.

Best I could think of :manny:
Il n'y a pas vraiment de traduction "d'OP" en français. Et l'origine dans le sens de "OP" se traduit plus par "premier". Donc le premier "posteur" se traduira finalement plus par "auteur".
There's no real tranlsation for "OP" in french. and original in the "OP" sens is more translated into "first" ("originel"). So, the OP would simply translated as something more like "author".

Quoi* (without the final "s").
Je suis rouillé, nikka :damn:
Pour ceux qui seraient intéressés, "nikka" se traduirait par "négro". Évidemment, ça ne se dirait qu'entre Noirs.
For those interested, "nikka" would translated as "négro". Obviously said between black people.
what is the difference between "je veux" and "je voudrais" I know it means "I want" but what is the grammar usage again?
"Je veux" est du présent de l’indicatif et "je voudrais" est du conditionnel présent. Le premier indique une injonction, un désir tandis que le second une demande ou un souhait.
"I want" is indicative and "I would like" is condtionnal. The first one is more like an injunction or a desire while the second is more like a demand or a wish.
