Like @DANJ! said, at least in the '80s, '90s, early 2000s it was easy to tell the guys apart. Now you just have a whole bunch of people that wear similar trunks (think guys that came from ROH and all happen to have some background in some mixed martial art) or a bunch of guys w/ beards and stern faces.

Yeah... like even back then when WWF was considered "the circus" by "real" wrestling fans... a team like Arn and Tully could come there and do well because they stood out as "no nonsense" guys... also because there wasn't already 3 or 4 other teams there with the same exact look/gimmick. They didn't need to have 10 Arn Andersons in the company when you had one who filled the role well.

I honestly wouldn't mind a lil bit more cartoonish shyt, or some characters that are more fun to watch... they don't need to go back into Bastion Boogers and Mantaurs and Skip & Zip, but gotdamn pal... "tough serious wrestling competitor #3457422" ain't gonna get it either.

The main problem with "Messiah Seth" was that he kept preaching on doing things for the "greater good" but he nor the WWE ever really established what the hell the "greater good" really was. Another problem was that his stable got formed during the absence of a crowd because him, Murphy, AOP and one more person could have been a hard as nails stable for the crowd to react to.... now the majority of them are deavored. In the end "Messiah Seth" is fun to look at and watch but never had any real direction.
