So you're saying that he made them all play at a higher level or that one single player can basically single handily lift a team from the worst record in the league to the NBA finals with a bunch of guys playing some of the worst ball of their careers? Either way I think you are validating the reason he is the MVP and considered the best player on rhe planet. :ld:

Like i said take any star off that team and they would be complete shyt

Lebron is the best player on the planet never denied that but the stats say otherwise to him making his teammates better

And my argument from the jump is that there is no true correlation with stats in this discussion. 2 or 3 more points, or rebounds per game does not mean a player wasn't having one of their best seasons while playing with Lebron. That's why I brought up the Scottie Pippen example. He had his best season stat wise without MJ but that's because he had to do more. Look at Ron Hapers or Kukoc's numbers with MJ and without MJ. There numbers fell off but everyone will tell you that MJ made every player around him better. Lebron made the game alot easier and more fluid for those guys. But that's just my opinion, agree to disagree I guess bro.

It's not about lebron as much as it is the whole "makes his teammates better" stuff is an essentially worthless basketball cliche that doesn't mean much other than "he demands a double team and gets otherwise marginal players open shots occasionally"...but gets used as some mystical abstract attribute that functions like a cheat code in a videogame...and selectively applied in arguments to denigrate or glorify players based on preconceived notions...Melo loses against the pacers in the prior round and it's largely because "he didn't make his teammates better"...I think the Heat will end up beating the Pacers and beat the Spurs in the Finals, but if they don't...the talking point won't be how Bron failed to make his (already far superior teammates respective to Melo's) teammates better...it'll be how they failed him...and depending on his personal play, what he didn't do

What I will kind of say that's a more Lebron-centric type thing, is how the status/perception of players he plays with seems to be diminished instead of raised and the resulting deficit going to Bron's greatness...whereas we see in the case of a guy like Pau went from being an unsung marginal one time all-star, to being hailed as "the best big in the league" the moment he was traded to the Lakers and paired with Kobe....wade went from a top 3 in the entire league to little more than simply Bron's second option...and Bosh went from allstar big scorer big, to basically just a role player

I totally agree about the cliche and talking points piece. That's just how the media works. Final results and reputation will always determine how shyt will get spun. If the Heat had lost last year with no change in Lebron's performance best believe he would still be cast as a guy who can't get his team over the hump. Now that he has a ring the blame will go to teammates or coaches because he has a rep as a champion thanks in large part to the efforts of his teammates and coaches. :heh: I tried to tell nikkas before the playoffs. The media agenda is transparent and silly. However nikkas need to stop riding with it when it goes along with what they think and then crying BS when it doesn't.

Pau was the same Pau he had always been he was just playing for the glamour franchise and winning chips. Once again more media BS. Wade really had no option but to become a second option with the way his health has been going. They were pretty close that first year and if Wade was still able to play at that level consistently it would probably be different. :rudy: at him trying to spin it like he chose to take a step back. His body pretty much made the choice for him. I would most definitely be a 1A/1B situation if Wade was still in 08/09 form. I believe that more of the offense should go through Bosh however I also think he has to man up and become more of a post player and hit the boards as well. Bron and DWade ain't got nothing to do with his 6'11 ass grabbing < 10 boards.

Nobody has to prove you wrong but you're an idiot. You Kobe cocksuckers are the absolute worst. A despicable bunch of haters, it's sad.

In 00-01 Kobe avg'd 28.5 ppg and Shaq avg'd 28.7 ppg and they won a championship together.

Cocksucker that you cocksucker :troll:

Lol, Kobe didn't make no damn star better. How the fukk is somebody supposed to make a star better. And Wade has been injury prone the last couple seasons so he is falling off. Bosh has been consistent in Miami but he doesn't have to do as much because he has a better cast, hence why the lil stat shyt you keep bringing up isn't relevant.

He's on the wing on defense too? :rudy: Wade manages to get post ups and make drives. I clearly stated that more of the offense should run through Bosh as well.

What teammates has he made better?

This myth has been going on forever, but the FACTS are that nobody he's played with (players of note) have had their best seasons playing alongside LeBron James.

Carlos Boozer? Best seasons were with Deron Williams
Zydrunas Ilgauskas? Best season was in 2003.....before LeBron
Ricky Davis? Best season was in 2003...before LeBron
Larry Hughes? Best seasons were with Gilbert Arenas
Ben Wallace? Best seasons were with Chauncey Billups
Delonte West? Best seasons were with Paul Pierce (and with Gloria:shaq: )
Mo Williams? Best seasons were with Michael Redd in 07 and 08
Antawn Jamison? Best seasons were with Gilbert Arenas
Shaq? Best seasons were with Kobe
Hell, Anderson Varejao? Best seasons were after LeBron left
Dwyane Wade? Aint been the same since LeBron came to South Beach
Chris Bosh? Aint been the same since he left Toronto. Went from putting up 24 and 10 to putting up 16 and 6:scusthov:
Ray Allen? Hasnt shot this low from the field in over 5 years.

Facts are Facts.

Dont kill the messenger.....kill the myth:manny:
