sorry, not nearly as impressive as the Tyson weaves and him getting as low as he did and doing it with such swiftness

I gotta disagree. Look at the effortlessness with which he dodges. Dude may as well be yawning. No way could Tyson beat Ali in their primes.

No way Tyson could beat Ali ? Cmon breh its one thing to think Ali could beat Tyson but to say Tyson doesnt have a chance is just untrue.

and Ali would never put his hands down like that against Prime Tyson ! Washed-up shot Mike sure but not prime Mike.

I dont never get why people act like Tyson would get murked by Ali. If Mike could figure out a why to deal with Ali's size and reach difference it would be a supremely tough fight.

Joe Frazier gave Ali hell and he wasnt that much bigger than Mike Tyson was. If Tyson was to come out moving and bobbing and weaving and swarming Ali with pressure, it would be trouble

im sorry breh, im not impressed by Mitch Green, Tony Tubbs, and Carl Williams

and if you propping up the 1980s and putting down the 1990s HW, then you are deluded. The 1980s was a nadir for HW boxing. Tyson was a shining light, but that period was very weak.

"Lennox Lewis beat Tyson leftovers" Like Holyfield? :dead:

Historically the heavyweight division has always been weak, there's a reason why its only been two golden eras of heavyweight boxing, you dont need to be impressed by blood, tnt or truth but they were the contenders and tyson was the champ, no more or unless so how can you fault tyson for beating who was there?

leftovers like tyrell biggs, frank bruno, toney tucker and esp razor ruddock, etc. guys tyson had already ran through and ruined, but i appreciate the convo, respect your opinion
the convo, props

the problem is Tyson never figured that out versus anyone. When a guy wasnt scared of his punches and wasnt going to allow him to bull inside and do his flurries, Tyson wasnt shyt.

Ali faced harder punchers than Tyson and didnt fall.

im not faulting Tyson for beating who was in front of him, I just dont agree with the notion that he beats all the great HWs in history. I dont think he beats Lennox in their primes, and I dont think he beats Vitali either. He didnt beat Holyfield. The only 90s HW star he beats is Riddikk Bowe, imo because Bowe was scared of dude.

And no doubt, good convo.

Tyson's fights with Razor Ruddock are a good measuring stick, of course Razor isnt Ali by no means. But Razor was a bigger (6'3 same as Ali), stronger man than Tyson who punched harder than any heavyweight since Earnie Shavers. Mike took Razor's best shots and eventually wore him down, now again im not saying that since Mike beat Razor Ruddock he could beat Ali. But there 2 instances of Mike fighting and breaking down a bigger, stronger man.

Ali did get dropped by a hard shot from Henry Cooper though

Joe Frazier put him on the canvas and Ken Norton broke his jaw. I mean so it's not like he couldnt be touched or hurt.

I didnt say Ali couldnt be touched, I said he wasnt scared of them. People would go into the ring shook of Tyson.

Who were these guys that prime Tyson wasnt sh!t against? Please enlighten me ! None of the few fights he had that went to decision were even that close on the scorecards

He wasnt in his prime vs Holyfield or Buster I dont know why people think so. "Kid Dynamite" version of Mike Tyson would beat "Baddest Man on the Planet" Mike Tyson into a coma real talk.

exactly, the Tyson excuse. Not because Holyfield wasnt anywhere near his prime and wasnt an 8-1 underdog on fight night. Or that no one thought Buster Douglass had a chance in hell, nah Mike wasnt in his prime so dont give those guys credit for beating him.

Its not an excuse its a fact Tyson should have continued to get better
as a fighter after 21 instead he was on the decline. He was all about the baddest man on the planet schtick and was just head hunting by then.
19-20 year old Mike would have destroyed any version of Buster Douglas or Evander Holyfield.
