Season 5 is the best. I'd recommend you'd skip to season 5. A lot of the storylines from the previous seasons are wrapped up so in many ways it's like it's starting anew. If you don't like the first four episodes in season 5 just give up cuz it ain't for you.

skipping 4 seasons means that you don't catch any of the foreshadowing...you also don't have any real understanding of the characters and their history.

so much of the show has to do with the times they are living in as well.

this is a show that you need to see from the beginning to truly appreciate.

Everybodys been telling me about this show, some people swear by it, so Im intrigued and me and the wifey started watching the show

Im 4 episodes in, and I like it, its alright so far...but nothing too special

I understand Im only 4 episodes in, and my understanding was, the build up is slow

Should I slow my roll and just keep patience and roll with it?

Or if I in love with the show yet, its a write off?

They swear by it cause they wasted 20 hours watching it and don't want to be the only lame fukkboys.

It obviously would be best to watch from the beginning but he could still enjoy the fifth season on its own.

The major storylines regarding his identity, his friend in California, his divorce and his break from Sterling Cooper are done for the most part. The lingering elements from those storylines won't prevent him from enjoying this season even tho it's best to have that background.


It's not like starting at season 3 where he'd be confused coming in at the middle.

I feel season 1 through 3 are untouchable.

Season 4 & 5 are cool and I feel those 2 seasons have a more "modern" feel to them.

I'm not surprised these folks don't like it, the attention span is too short for the average viewer. @ Breaking Bad coming close to this show, BB is not even a top 5 show. If anyone puts BB in the top 5, what show do you leave off?

one of the greatest tv shows of all time. I guess it's an acquired taste because it's a character driven show with lots of dialogue, but the writing and acting is so top notch that i can't believe ppl get "bored" of it.
