North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
they shouldn't have been advertising a faster delivery service that they never intended to honor.

That's really on the DSP. Amazon gives them work based on how fast they deliver. If a DSP is constantly late, then they will get less work. High performing DSP's will get first dibs on the best routes as well as volume. And the slow DSP's will get what's left over. Every DSP isn't the same in terms of hiring, vehicle maintenance and overall performance. And one of the worst kind of routes involve high rise buildings with no front desk to drop off all packages, and multi building garden apartments where in both instances, you have to deliver the each individual location. So imagine you have to stop at 20 story building and you have 15 different stops. Or you have to make 20 deliveries to a sub division that has 20 different sections spread out. Aint nobody trying to do that. On the flip side, you got a 30 story high rise with a concierge/mail room and you can drop of all deliveries in one location.

Aside from the thievery I think the main issue is Amazon should have given them a warning that they would not receive fast delivery or some type of compensation
They should have been transparent about downgrading the areas to slower service for being danger zones.

Probably had more to due with attempted robberies than race. :unimpressed: But, of course, this is supposed to be ignored and I guess I'm supposed to outraged than Amazon would take measures to not have people's packages stolen. :rudy::camby: Never had any issues with Amazon delivering my packages :mjpls:

Cracker piece of shyt.

If Amazon didn't want to deliver, they shouldn't have charged them the prime delivery fee

I know Amazon delivery routes are supposedly autogenerated, meaning the driver can't just pick and choose which addresses to deliver to first and which ones to deliver to last; they have to go by what their system is telling them to do, but I've always wondered whether some drivers go against the rules purposely doing what this article research suggests and treat certain neighborhoods with higher priority than others:jbhmm:.

I've never had any trouble receiving Amazon packages in my city since most deliveries happen early in the morning or mid-late afternoon, but there have been a few times when my package would come very late, dayum near 6:30-7:30 PM, near the time 8 pm deadline to deliver and I'd wonder why. It could be, just as I mentioned before, that their systems auto-generate the routes for the drivers, so maybe I was just near the last of their schedule.

Delivering products later than advertised to avoid 'crime' doesn't make sense.

The driver still has to travel through that area eventually, whether it's on Monday or Friday makes no difference.

not shocked. you'll struggle to even get an uber in some of those areas. they shouldn't advertise the service there straight up though

it does. you deliver in high traffic times because its less likely to lead to an isolated truck and driver.

its not like they're ever going to be offering their employees hazard pay bonuses.
