Of course the ATL
Horford is soft, but that was not the perception in Atlanta. There was a nice market for his services.

IT on the other hand cannot do anything about his height...he is a big defensive liability and is already breaking down physically this post season.

The perception was that he's a decent player, finesse, undersized C who was much more comfortable shooting a 20 footer than banging in the paint. When he went up against Tristan Thompson in the playoffs, he bytched up. He's always been a soft player...and I say that as a lifelong Hawks fan

That's fine, but it's not like people did not feel like he was not a player worth the max.

Isiah Thomas on the other hand is a different story and it's crazy that people think that Boston run by Danny Ainge which is as a shrewd NBA GM as you are going to find...is going to pay a max contract to Isiah Thomas?

AND he has the #1 pick...in a PG heavy draft? :dead:

I will be SHOCKED if it's an absurd deal. I can see a max for 2 years + a 3rd year team option, but even then I think it's a stretch. Danny has all the cards in his hands and what we see here is that if Rondo did not get hurt...the Bulls would have taken them out. They beat the Wizards because they froze up, but where does it get you? INDIANA gave up a better challenge in the FIRST Round to Cleveland.

Isaiah will get the max, and deservedly so. The issue is, at his age & build, does he really have time to allow the 2017 & 2018 picks to develop?

:dwillhuh:

Horford left Atlanta because we weren't willing to give him a max contract. BOS was the only team stupid enough to give him a max deal and you saw where it ultimately led them to: An embarrassing showing against CLE and Horford looking and playing like a bytch (again) on the biggest stage

He's an MVP candidate on the #1 seed. He's gonna get a HUGE deal. And what makes y'all so certain BOS even keeps the pick? If Ainge leverages the pick and his other assets correctly BOS could come back loaded next yr. Fultz isn't making an impact for this BOS team that is trying to win now

You're like Kevin O'Connor and wants to blow up every team

Isaiah is fine. Fultz can get eased in and eventually take over and Isaiah will eventually come off the bench.

Isaiah understands the Celtics tradition and history, he's loyal to the Celtics who gave him this opportunity and he's not gonna fight for every penny when and if the time comes..: he will do the right thing, he's been on crappy teams, he's not taking this for granted
This gotta be the dumbest shyt I ever read :dwillhuh:

Pay 200 mil for a bench player brehs:dame:

Isaiah will get the max for sure, whether it be from Boston or someone else.

But again, after these shameful performances in the first two games, and probably gonna get stomped again in the next two...I want to see major changes this offseason. And if that involves trading IT then so be it :yeshrug:

The stoop with dat dope fanny padding
Yall need to blow it up, bank on Fultz, Jaylen Brown, and a big man in 2018(Bamba or Ayton) because this crew will never win a chip. Welcome to the tank friends :troll:

Why? We've already got Brooklyn tanking for us and playoff experience like this is valuable

Draft fultz sign Hayward and keep it moving we got a year to figure out who to keep out of Isaiah Bradley and smart

Isaiah had 17 and 10 in game 1, people acting like he pulled a harden

Dude is clearly injured

Rockets gonna trade harden and rebuild? Are the thunder moving Westbrook? This logic is so stupid and I expect better from a Celtics fan

I never said he quit on the team

I expected to lose this series in 4 or 5 games. I did not expect to get blown out by 50 on the homefloor. This is one of the most embarrassing performances from a team in NBA history. This team is nowhere close to being able to compete with the elites. And there are some decisions that will have to be made about this core in the near future. Horford is maxed out, IT is gonna want the max, Bradley is getting $20 mil a year at least. So to question whether you want to invest all your cap space into this core when they've shown they aren't close to being good enough is not exactly unreasonable.
