He never ducked Pryor.

Pryor was offered 500K to fight Leonard, and he turned it down. He also turned down 750K to fight Duran. That's like Danny Garcia getting turning down offers to fight Mayweather and Pacquiao and then claiming their ducking

:ehh:.

pryor thought he was worth more right?

maybe he was..:sas2:

Dudes highest payday at the time was like 150k.

shyt, 2 fights before that he fought Antonio Cervantes for 30k :russ:

yeah...but that's what dude thought.

he did beat alexis arguello.......twice.

but yeah he was not a big draw...I agree.

lets forget the dodging though. do you think he could beat pryor straight up. ive read that the two faced each other in sparring and ray was having a hard time....is that ducktales?

He didn't beat Arguello until later on. When he was offered the fight with SRL, the fights with Arguello hadn't happened yet.

Absolutely I think he beats him. Leonard was too big, too strong, to fast for Pryor. Hawk was great, but he wasn't really built for 147. Yeah he did work Leonard in sparring, but from all accounts Leonard was only treating it like a workout session, and Pryor was treating it like an actual fight.

If that fight actually came to fruition, Ray wins by stoppage

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
I was listening to an old Bill Burr podcast where he mentioned an argument with his buddy Paul Virzi where Virzi said that Floyd Mayweather Jr would beat:

Sugar Ray Leonard
Roberto Duran
Tommy Hearns
and Marvin Hagler

Burr's argument was that Mayweather would at best, go 2-2 versus the 4 men.

So coli members, you got $10,000 to bet.

You think Mayweather is beating all 4 men?

He's leaving the arena on a stretcher if he fought Marvelous :russ:

oh and pryor supposedly signed for 750,000 to fight ray but ray got injured just before.

oh well too bad. I still think pryor had a great chance just like he gave hearns a tough(amateur) bout....:manny:

If you're talking about fights like the "No Mas" fight, yeah. His best work was at lightweight. He was one of the best ever pound for pound when he was lightweight. The weight he put on after that wasn't good weight.

I'm a Floyd hater, but at this point I gotta admit if he clears out and retires undefeated he might be in contention. His resume is spotless. He's like he only fighter that can still pull ppv numbers. And like mike Tyson, sugar ray, and Ali before him, may weather transcends the sport. He was on dancing with stars for Christi sake.

I still think Prime pacquiao would have given him the beats and won a decision.:sas2:

Victor Ortiz was on Dancing With The Stars, in "The Expendables 3" and is starring alongside Jake Gyllenhaal in "Southpaw", plus has had multiple commercials and magazine ads:rgpls:
