Dude is pretty much a singles artist. Only his first album had any success. The second one is at around 300k after 2 years and this latest one won't even reach that. shyt debuted at #22 on the chart. That's pretty horrible.

Like someone else said, B.O.B was carried by the chorus on his songs, not his rapping. I remember he performed at Grad Bash and when he was rapping all the white people were kind of faking movement and mumbling the verses and only got hyped when the chorus played.

with that being said, b.o.b is talented.

he is talented. his mixtapes were FIRE as dude above said. i was checking for him heavy when he sounded like a knockoff andre3k. this was like mid 09.. that i'll be in the sky song was flames too.

then the first album came out and it was pop trash.

then he dropped a "shoulda been the first album" and "no genre" mixtapes after everyone called him out on selling out..now he's back to street..i guess its true he has no identity.

I never listened to B.O.B but from what I've understood he's a talented musician. I think with the success of that single with Bruno Mars he should've stayed in the pop musician lane. He could have been like a rap version of John Mayer. Respected for his talents, but known for his shytty, popular music
