I’m 36 so I know life before the net but I also remember the start of the matrix ... AOL chat rooms and yahoo groups.

I'm 35. I remember when we was on sohh in our 20s. I remember life before the internet as well.

To be exposed to those racist image boards like 4 you know what as a young child to young adult has to fukk up your mind severely. Even when I was on Sohh i saw those places as just extremely fukked up, racist, vile, perverted, and not worth browsing.

Luckily when I started using the internet I was old enough to know to step away and not get sucked into negativity. Can't say the same for some of these youngins who see that messed up stuff we see as messed up as normal cause they grew up on it.

Same, I’ve seen self hating full black people, so I can only imagine a half breed. This is what happens when black people either choose to raise, or let their kids be raised, in all white spaces and don’t do anything to help shape their black identity.

She needs to just keep it real about how she was raised and apparent resentment she harbors towards her dad which clearly affects her outlook on blackness. People may not forgive her or accept it, but you’d have to respect honesty over canned responses and “I didn’t know/I’m still learning” excuses
