Bruh the US military killed A LOT of people in those wars(3 million in Korea, 2 million in Vietnam, 1 million in Iraq, idk about Afghanistan but the two afghan guys I worked with said the male population of whole villages were wiped out) and they could have killed many many millions more if they wanted to without even dropping nukes. Nazi Germany was never gonna beat the Soviets fighting the US and Great Britain also at the same time, not unless Japan could have moved their military to Europe and helped them out and even then they never would have beaten the US and Soviets at the same time.

Insurgency and guerilla campaigns are a different story because nobody can really win those unless you wanna go scorched earth and nobody really wants to do that, but in recent history everytime we fight an actual conventional military the US damn near wipes them off the face of the earth. We beat the shyt out of the Japanese, we killed MILLIONS of Koreans and hundreds of thousands of Chinese, the US fukked up the North Vietnamese Army so bad they had to resort to using farmers to fight their war for them eventually... and the US never had any boots in the ground in North Vietnam ever and we almost completely wiped them out. Iraq was the 4th most powerful military in the world at the time of Desert Storm and you see how that worked out for them, they didn't even last a month.

It's really telling when you discuss history with people because it becomes abundantly clear that some people don't understand how wars are waged, won, and lost. To successfully wage a war, you need a willing populace, the support of the government, a strong economy, and military strength. In each of the wars in question, the US lost the support of the people who then pressured the politicians that run the government, which led to the premature end of those conflicts. It wasn't a case of the military being outmatched.

Ask any military leader of sufficient rank what the biggest impediment to waging war and they'll tell you it's meddling from politicians. Put America's military in the hands of a ruthless autocracy and you're looking at a very different, very dark world. People should be thankful that the US has to at least pay lip service to the ideals of democracy.
