I've never played Halo 4 until I bought this collection pack. It's not like 343 remade these games all they had to do was build stable servers and they messed up big time

I've been saying this since before the consoles launched but when I found out what GPU's they both had I knew they were going to fail. There is a reason why games are being held back on Xbox One and there is also a reason why for almost every game they have to announce if the PS4 can handle it at 1080/30fps or 1080/60fps. In this day of technically I think it is a piss poor job for both consoles that they weren't made to be future proof compared to consoles in the past. The Order and Infamous are some good looking games and Sunset overdrive was surprisingly good but i'm really disappointed as a long time console gamer how half assed they consoles are. I currently own the Xbox one and use it as a cable box and sold my PS4 for this current xbox just for Halo MCC and we all know how big of a bust that release was and that was all I got my Xbox for. I used the PS4 just for MLB the Show and nothing else so it was an easy choice for me to sell my ps4 but now I miss it for MLB 16 . I built my PC knowing ahead of time these consoles were going to struggle and it's looking like pc gaming is being respected as a serious gaming platform.

I disagree with you though. I just don't get the obsession with 1080p/60fps. Beyond those stats the games i listed and plenty others are way beyond what was capable last gen.

Sure the witcher could have had a world as simple as skyrim but ran at higher resolution/framerate

Sure sunset could have had less enemies, projectiles, particles on screen, and ran at higher specs.

Forza horizon could have stayed with the semi closed/open world with simple physics and last gen textures and ran at 60fps.

But are those trade offs we'd really want? I don't

I would've had a better time blowing the money I wasted on wii on the boat. shyt is terrible and I have a pc that can run everything out on ultra settings but only buy console ports so there goes that fps argument because no one cares and i honestly don't care about the difference outside of the initial wow i can see hair and grass blades. Dont even pay attention to details like that after 30 minutes and it all looks the same

Wii U has the best overall exclusives this gen. I played them out but SM3DW, Mario Kart 8, Smash Bros and Bayonetta were all amazing.

So far outside of the Witcher 3 this gen has been pretty meh to me. I've played sunset, TitanFall, shadow of mordor, and dying light those games are enjoyable but kind of forgettable. I'm looking forward to a lot of games it's too bad these remakes and annual release games will probably make it out before them. Atleast there's arkham knight, halo 5, and tomb raider to tide the time



Hopefully mgs v isn't as disappointing as MGS 4

I'm enjoying this gen But that's mostly because I don't have outrageous expectations for a medium I invest a lot in. It's either be pleasantly surprised or have your cautious optimism confirmed or justified.

Let me put it like this. We all know that these consoles are wack as hell spec and future proof wise but some of the games have not been bad

Infamous was a solid game
Ryse was a great game graphically and it was only 900P
NBA2K looks amazing
Dragon Age
Forza
Drive club
Madden

I could go on because these games have not been bad but suffered because of developers. The developers let this gen down with half finish games glitches rushes and remastered bullshyt. This is a dark age in game because of developers. The consoles are fine but were rush to consumers.

Overall I trust Microsoft more when it comes to adding features and developing a solution to fix these problems in the next couple of years.

Sony has it first party games which some were a dud but they are putting out the content but I don't trust Sony to fix the failures of this gen. Shyt 1080P is bullshyt when I am playing on a 4K TV and I have a gaming PC.

Consoles are not about specs and fan boys are delusional with that graphic shyt because PC shyts on consoles for two decades now. Save the bullshyt
