But I mean the roster too.
Arn and Tully are better than The Revival, both were great as singles wrestlers and a team. Revival are cosplaying them. Neither guy in Revival is good on the mic, Arn is one of the best promos period.
Road Warriors are better than Sheamus and Cesaro, again both are better on the mic and they are more intimidating and work better as a team.
Flair is waaaay better than the dudes like Roode and Dolph who are cosplaying as Hunter and HBK who were cosplaying as Ric.
I think Flair, Dusty, and Steamboat and Sting and Funk is a better crop of main event talent than Styles and Bryan and Reigns because again besides the wrestling they can all talk.
I get your point breh, all those guys were better as a unit/roster. But you are still being a little unfair. You are pretty much using the roster JCP had during a whole decade and comparing it with what WWE has know. Steamboat and the Road Warriors were never in the same locker room under JCP (neither did Sting with Steamer). And saying God was part of their roster is like saying Liger was part of WWE's roster in 2015, Funk could qualify as a member of every promotion's roster during that time
Cesaro and Sheamus are not a better team than the Road Warriors, but they are better wrestlers. Or you can at the very least make a compelling argument for them, they are just stuck as a team because creative had nothing else for them as singles. A better comparison would be with Arn & Tully, which no question are better than the euros in any category.
Wasn't Steamboat and the Road Warriors both in WCW in 1994? Either way you could make substitutes. I didn't even name the Midnight Express or the Rock N' Roll Express who were on the same roster as the Road Warriors and Arn and Tully from the mid 80's to like 1988.
You could sub out Steamboat and sub in Barry Windham or Magnum TA.. all these combinations are better than how the roster is currently constructed.
Come on breh, you went from saying JCP (not even a year) to 94' WCW? If we do that then let's add Eddie and prime Cena to the current WWE roster
Again, I get your point. 86' JCP is probably better than 18' WWE, roster wise (quality is not even a conversation )
Damn that really does still hold trueThis is from the 80s. Just change NWA for some indy.
The problem is in addition to being very generic gimmick/charisma wise every “worker” is a two bit Michaels wannabe from AJ to Dolph.
