Everyone here been hating on Brulyan hard this year but their hero AJ Styles? He's bombed a year long and been uprooted by Becky, Charlotte, and now Asuka is right back in the game with explosive fan support. Bryan had that crowd heated during that promo and his easier schedule thing during this heel run works with their narrative of him not showing up. Perfect. Smart.
Any roster that had prime Eddie Guerrero was better.

I can see both sides of the argument. I think the roster is deep as fukk talent wise, you can find good to great wrestlers for pretty much any style. But the booking and presentation has made it impossible for them to actually put out the quality shyt you would expect from them.
Another big factor is that the current style, which is a hybrid of indy excess and WWE "epicness" has been a huge failure in terms of match quality, imo.

When people say that, they're talking about in-ring wise. No one is saying they're dropping promos as good as past rosters, everything's too neutered for that anyway.
Also you have to remember that the current roster is double or triple the size of the Attitude Era roster. They have about 90% of every decent English-speaking wrestler on their roster right now.

It's that 50/50 bs. Then people are barley getting pushed.everybody doesn't have to be. A main eventer/world champion but what about a midcard push to the ic/is champions. You got guys like Bray wyatt and luke Harper(injured) not doing anything.why hasn't elias won the ic championship yet? Roman and braun is out so seth and fin should be pushed hard right now. I love brock but this him being champion but barley showing up is hurting rawWhen I had the network, I watched old WWF shows, and the wrestling just wasn't as good as it it is today, in my opinion
What was definitely better (and what hurts the perceived value of the matches and wrestlers) was better and less repetitive booking. It's hard for Seth Rollins to stick at as a good wrestler when he's having the same match with the same opponent every week on TV for months on end, and they're booking each of the matches so that no one goes TOO over the other guy. Makes none of the shyt matter.

But to me that’s turned into a negative because a lot of the “innovative “ shyt looks ridiculous and stupid if I’m supposed to suspend my disbelief and think of this as a real fight. It’s almost like a modern dance performance for neckbeards and nerds and not a simulation of an actual fight.

The have have all the talent they need, the problem is Vince only knows how to book generic white guys vs the world. Then they use all actual character talent guys just to fill time. And the whole Brock lesner thing. With all the reaction Elias gets, there's no reason he shouldn't be in the title scene or the champ working some fun storylines. He's perfect for their little PG era mess and they still rather push the generics. Or you gotta be some weird situation like Jinder where they were trying to crack a market.
Already bracing for how they fukk up Velveteen Dream on the main roster.

But I mean the roster too.
Arn and Tully are better than The Revival, both were great as singles wrestlers and a team. Revival are cosplaying them. Neither guy in Revival is good on the mic, Arn is one of the best promos period.
Road Warriors are better than Sheamus and Cesaro, again both are better on the mic and they are more intimidating and work better as a team.
Flair is waaaay better than the dudes like Roode and Dolph who are cosplaying as Hunter and HBK who were cosplaying as Ric.
I think Flair, Dusty, and Steamboat and Sting and Funk is a better crop of main event talent than Styles and Bryan and Reigns because again besides the wrestling they can all talk.
