Check reviews before you pick up those shows, try to stick to Seinen. Last few anime I finished were Ergo Proxy, Texhnolyze, Spice and Wolf, and Serial Experiments Lain

none of those shows had any of that shyt in the OP. You gotta realize that stuff is actually made for children. I tend to watch the more adult jawns

Breh Let me give you a list of some of the purest pifferry in all of anime/manga (You have to read the manga for these though because the anime's either cut out arcs or censored the shyt out of em)
Toriko (This shyt came out in like 2007 and feels like an 80's manga, the anime sucks ass though)
One Piece (Started in 1997 and is currently the best selling manga of all time and is just pure fukking amazing. It's my favorite manga actually)
Berserk (Arguably the greatest manga ever, it's so good that I feel obligated to give you a link to it http://www.mangaeden.com/en-manga/berserk/1/1/)
Vagabond (Another amazing series)
Hunter x Hunter (Another top tier Shonen manga, one of the few that are equal to One Piece)
Yu Yu Hakusho (Created by the same guy who does Hunter x Hunter, just amazing)
Ruroni Kenshin (This manga is also great)

There's my list, I recommend that you stop whatever you are doing right now and read the first Berserk chapter and then when you get a chance start One Piece (It may be a hard slog but it's worth it,you should at least read it until chapter 100 or at least the Arlong Park arc) it's so much better than AOT and DBZ, actually everything on this list is.

I've watched some anime, the only ones I actually watched all the way through were Afro Samurai and Samurai Champloo. Both of them amazing. I actually cared about the characters. They were also short, and sweet. Not long and drawn out cash cows.

Afro Samurai was great, b. I haven't watched Samurai Champloo, I was on some because of the style of animation and drawing. Might watch it though.

your list is filled with classics. not only have i seen all berserk episodes and read some of the manga, i also have the two blu rays that have been released so far.
one piece is great, but i let so much time pass in between watching and reading that i feel like i am too far left behind. it makes me not want to start back up

i would also suggest kaiji and golgo 13
