I'm like a cross breed between a Muslim and a Christian family. My paternal grandparents were Muslims but my dad is a Christian now. So I played around with both religions growing up and half of my family is Muslim. But I'd say both religions have nothing to offer the black man. And I don't know why you'll leave one oppressive religion for another one - that's like changing slave masters. Some of you need to watch the clips of the Libyan war (if the videos are still on YouTube) and see how Arabs were beheading black Muslims because they're black.

Islam isn't even attractive in 2017. You've got the terrorist shyt. And what grown ass man wanna wash his hands and feet like five times a day and put his head on the floor - with his ass up like a fakkit - all in the name of religion? And when you consider the fact that Muslims are the poorest people and least educated in every country and also the least appealing based on how they dress - where's the attraction?

You need to think about finding God and peace of mind as a black man - not trying to cuddle up with Arabs who have dominated the religion since the 16th century. The only valid reason why any black man would find Islam attractive is because of polygamy.

Watch this video and listen to the spoken words

Very childish, immature post.

There's no need to convert to Islam unless you want to commit to looking at god through the eyes of Arabs.

Muslims claim Allah is most merciful, but 90% of the Qur'an is about how non-muslims are in for an eternity of torment if they don't repent and accept some Arab named Muhammad as God's messenger. How does this compute?

Look at what great civilizations like Egypt have left behind. We can appreciate it's legacy even today, despite our beliefs about God. What will we have from Islam, or the Abrahamic faiths in general, to appreciate 5,000 years from today besides war, hatred, and bloodshed?

In Islam man isn't allowed to use what's between his own two eyes. In Islam this is the last stop, you won't have another life to reflect and grow as an individual soul. You have to accept God and his Arab messenger or face eternal torment.

So why does one have to convert to Islam, other than to pledge allegiance to some Arabs conception of his God, which is tribal? Doesn't this contradict your claims of universality?
After extensive experience and study, I saw it for what it is. You don't have to be a Muslim to be devoted to one God

Your studies could not have been very extensive at all.

How is it unique? It if filled with inconsistencies. Allah's throne is on water, but to depict this is shirk.

Prayer (vandanam)

Meditation (Upasana)

Remembrance of God (Smarana)

Freeing oneself from attachment (Sannyasa)

These have all been taught by Indian philosophers, and others I'm sure, for thousands of years before anybody knew what a Muslim was. There is nothing unique about it.

So why does one have to convert to Islam, other than to pledge allegiance to some Arabs conception of his God, which is tribal? Doesn't this contradict your claims of universality?

How does the throne relate to the One-ness of God? Which other religion promotes the belief in an unseen, and uncreated originator of all Creation who is perfect in all His attributes and nothing like the creation in His essence?

Why are you mentioning Hindu prayers?

Science and maths, architecture and astronomy.

Europeans like Fibonacci were referencing and learning from Muslim scholars. Even words like algebra and alkaline have their roots in Arabic.

You can have doubts, it's human. But don't rush to insults.

@Karbaash if you get people riled up and they end up insulting Allah or the prophet (saw) you will have had a part to play. Pick your battles walaal.

I'm not getting anyone riled up.

Nikkas claiming science, maths, astronomy et al that were created by ancient Egyptians and Phoenicians...and later modernized by West African empires as some Muslim shyt now? The first advanced scholastic center (what can be called a University now) in the world was in Sankore. The same fukking Arab Muslims destroyed the place and all its libraries.

Islam isn't just appealing to the black man in 2017 - only an idiot would convert to that shyt when there are other things to worry about as a black man. Arabs don't even like black Muslims and who wants to be walking around sweaty women who wear hijab 24/7. Leave that shyt in the bushes...even jailbirds have stopped converting to Islam.

This is unacceptable from the Islamic standpoint.

I'm beginning to doubt that you were ever Muslim :Catwtf:

You don't even know the basics of Islamic spirituality.

Excuse yourself from this thread breh. You're being extremely shallow and irrational.

Okay, let's do it this way: you know I've religious tolerance since I'm half-Muslim (if religion can be compared to DNA), half of my family is Muslim, I've a Muslim name (named after a powerful prophet) courtesy of my grandparents, and I know a bit of my deen.

Can you tell me what Islam has to offer the black man in 2017? With all the attacks in London, they're becoming a threat to me. I still have the images of the black Libyans who were beheaded by Arab Muslims despite being Muslims in my head. All the images of innocent black Africans killed by Muslim terrorists. The destruction of Timbuktu and Sankore by Arab Muslims. Etc. Islam is about brotherhood but where is the brotherhood in the carnage Arab Muslims keep unleashing on black Muslims?

Also, why are people claiming that Muslims created science, maths, astronomy, etc., when the ancient Egyptians and Phoenicians created them? And the first advanced scholastic center in the world to modernize them was in Sankore, Mali - where West Africans taught advanced maths, physics, chemistry, astronomy, etc., - before the Moors built another one in Salamanca, Spain. So, why are people claiming that Arab Muslims created them?

Why are you mentioning Hindu prayers?

I mentioned Hindu concepts in response to your assertion that Islam's conception of God is unique. It isn't. I mentioned them specifically because I am familiar with them, in the same way that I am familiar with Islam and what it teaches.

Vaishnavism, a branch of Hinduism, is way more ancient than Islam and it's teachings about Vishnu/Narayana, specifically about his attributes with relation to his own nature, are fundamental to it's doctrine. Krishna says in Bhagavad Gita that he only assumes different forms through his "Maya," or cosmic power, they are illusory, in reality the Supreme being is formless (Nirguna), beyond empirical conception. But this is unacceptable to Islam because Vaishnavas will not give up their conception of the Supreme in favor of Allah his Arab messenger.

If Islam is so "universal," why are non-Islamic approaches to spirituality condemned as taghut and punishable with eternal hellfire? Is this really representative of the boundless mercy of a so-called supreme deity? Or is it a con? I'm going to go with the latter.

Science is cumulative in nature and no one civilization can claim it exclusively for themselves. All science was made via the achievements of others :mjlol:

Muslims did not merely transmit science from other civilizations, they added to it and advanced it. Just like the West has advanced and continues to advance that which was transmitted to it from previous civilizations (including the Islamic civilization).

There never was an Islamic civilization. Only an Islamic empire that became semi-civilized through contact with real civilizations, like Persians, Indians, and Greeks. What we are seeing today is the relapse of Islam back to its barbaric nature.
