Hmmm that's interesting. And the writers don't drop scenes or names in for no reason, there's always a purpose. so you may be on to something.
Yeah thats why i said that it has to be his little sister cause the writers dont just put ahit out there. I’m just wondering what was the whole purpose of it tho

Above the fray.
Ziggy didn't steal the right cars for Glekas lol, he stole him C-Class Benz not S-Class ones he asked for. Which is a huge difference price wise. And Ziggy actually kept one of the cars because that's the type of Benz he drove when he went over to see Glekas, and even told him he had one outside. If Glekas would've took Ziggy up on his offer to go outside and see the car himself, he would've known he ironically overpaid Ziggy.

Last week's price is not today's price

Jada Glekas I was listening.

I'm convinced that Fat Joe got the line from watching this season

:jbhmm: Yall brothers might be onto something:

… What if Brother Mouzone’s family is originally from Baltimore and coming up on the streets he already had a rep as a killer at a young age (hence OGs like Prop Joe, Avon, and Vinson already knowing him well. probably grew up with him.)

He was a smart nikka at the same time. Relocated to New York for college. While there…discovered “knowledge of self” and got down with the Nation. Decided to keep living in N.Y. but occasionally returns to B-More when contracted for work and/or to visit family.

The black cop thought he could legalize it and there would be no bodies (Hamsterdam).

Everyone who tried to sell drugs as a business and leave the other shyt behind, either got killed or fired

This is why Season 3 is GOAT in my book…the way it perfectly captures the juxtaposition and parallels of the law enforcement and the streets:

The dealers from the high rises being pressured to reoccupy corners after the towers are demolished vs. police districts being pressured by the Mayor and Police Commissioner to bring down murder rates. Colvin & String both trying to figure out how to make these changes work with the least amount of violence possible only to be berated by their superiors (Rawls, Avon) for their approach. No-win situation. Colvin & String are enacting solutions that literally save lives/prevent murders but are being reprimanded by their institutions simply because “it doesn’t work that way.”

The irony is that the so-called objective of law enforcement is crime/violence prevention. However, it relies on the presence of crime to justify funding/job security. Same with the streets. The violence brings police attention which no one wants…however, the use of fear and violence are necessary tools to gain position. Both institutions feed off of it.

yeah i think mouzone is originally from bmore. I do remember a scene where they talk about a black dude making it out of bmore and setting up in NY. i think it was a scene in butchie bar but i could be wrong.

Peep the scenes in seasons 2 & 3 when he first pulls up in town or when he’s in his hotel at night listening to the sirens. His whole energy in these scenes is “I’m home.”

Even when Prop Joe spits one of my favorite lines in the show: “Brother…that nikka got more bodies on him than a Chinese cemetery.” He sounds like someone who’s known him since they were kids and knows that ain’t the nikka to play with.

exactly. he seemed way too familiar woth the territory and the whole get down of everything going on. prop joe saying that is kinda a dead giveaway too. like how would he know about mouzone if mouzone was only a cat from ny

It's crazy how often scenes between the police department and the criminals parallel each other during episodes. For example in Episode 10 of season 2, the same time Prop Joe/Stringer join forces is the same episode the Baltimore PD and the Feds join forces. Another example is the scenes when Poot and Bodie walk up the steps to kill Wallace, and when McNulty and Cedric come to arrest Avon and Stringer. They both walk up these dark single steps, in the Poot and Bodie one, Poot hesitates to come upstairs until Bodie gives him a head nod like "come on", and in the reverse, McNulty hesitates to come downstairs until Daniels gives him the head nod to "come on".

Good finds. To add to that, I always found the scene (season 3) where Chris is being driven off after drive by-ing Avon to be kinda similar to the scene (season 4) where Carcetti is being driven off after observing the workers who he forced to fix the sewer / rundown playground / leaking fire hydrant etc.

There isnt much of a connection in what theyre doing, but their expressions are the exact same. Probably just feeling re-assured that what they're thinking/doing is paying off - Protecting Marlo from a trap / Improving failing infrastructure.

Just googled and this reddit thread came up :yeshrug:

Doesnt really say anything but says Poot was with a white girl the next episode :jbhmm:
Also raised a good point saying Mouzone for Brother Mouzone may be a given Muslim name and not a birth name.

Brother Mouzone is supposed to be a NOI member so it's very likely that was a given name rather than his real name

another thing i just noticed is why are they saying they don’t know what avon looks like during the basketball game episode when lester brought them a picture in the second episode

Im sure Sydnor goes back to his car while hes at the game to look at that exact picture, or maybe im imagining this.
