This scene tells so much while only having a few actual lines Lester realized that every door nail by the city was fukked up and in poor condition whereas the others were high grade. Nobody would’ve peeped that but him.

Favorite scene in the entire series… the first time I seen it I was and at the same time.. it was just eerie.. the silence.. the wind.. the final shot of Bunk from afar… since I’m from Baltimore (live in Phoenix now) but it just took me back to living there

This is a good pull. Prop Joe mentioned what an accomplishment that it was for a Black man to be able to own a home in that section of town at the time.

*During the Hamsterdam scenes, the elderly Black woman who lives in the free zone made a similar comment. Very subtle way of showing how the once stable prosperous section of the city has decayed.

I watch the entire series each Summer, and notice different things each time.

Marlo's last stand on a corner is a popular scene. His last chance to stand in the environment he thrives in. Never noted or remembered that an almost duplicate scene was shot in season 3 as Prez sits in the unit house surrounded by the surveillance equipment one final time before that chapter of his life ends. He even breathes deeply like Marlo did.

Nah that is what he is listening to when he is jogging. He removes his ear phones and the music stops
