In that last ep, I noticed Bodie getting murked made him say “alright enough with this Marlo guy”He requested more time with his family in London....so David Simon reduced his role & made him become a regular cop for this season, less work lol.

He was a kid killing his friend for survivalBowie's hand shivering the whole time. What a "real nygga".
I can't remember if this has been mentioned yet:
- Frank Sabotka offered to give up the Greeks to the police and the FBI, but said he won't give up any Union guys. He got found out and ended up being killed right before doing so.
- Bodie offered to give up the Stanfields but said he wasn't giving up any Barksdales. He got found out and ended up being killed.
Except in Season 4 he was ready to snitch once it hard..contradiction. lol@survival.He was a kid killing his friend for survival
Both also were the bosses of the lower workers and were tired of how playing the game.
I been rewatching Season 4
Was they implying that Bug's pops was touching on Michael and thats why he wanted him gone so bad?
He never comes out and says it, but Im thinking thats what it was....
Remember when Avon pulled him aside about that and basically called him a bytch for shooting dude. He basically tells him you ain't man enough to take an ass whooping so you make it hot for everybody by shooting him. Hell that could almost be a forewarning that again as soon as D'angelo gets arrested instead of just eating the charges he snitched.Deangelo story arc was really weird. This nikka went from beating a murder rap from letting a pole go in a stairwell of the PJs to begin a straight bytch. Don’t get that
Also, I’m sure this has been addressed. But I don’t get that whole Rawls gay bar thing. Or maybe that was a way to explain him being miserable all the time
Season 2>>>>>Season 5
that's why they covered them in lye, to decompose faster.... also, it's bmore... them houses STILL there today..It just occurred to me how dumb the bodies in the vacant storyline was. Who does that? Surely they would have been discovered if the buildings were being remolded or torn down
You're thinking of two scenes at the same time.If it hasn't been posted yet
When Omar got the drop on Avon and almost killed him weebay showed up and shot at Omar. Omar disappeared from the screen but still had a back and forth with Avon. You could hear Omar talking as a rat ran across the street where Omar was standing. This was when omar was working with the police after the Barksdales killed omars guy
Poot was originally supposed to play Wee Bay, but the showrunners felt he was too short and not physically intimidating enough to be Avon's muscle
A youtube comment I just read:
The Greeks were all Greeks - including the 'the Greek' despite him saying he was 'not even Greek' in the last show. This happened because there were complaints about the show by American Greeks saying that the show was depicting the American Greeks in a bad light. HBO was threatened by a team of Greek lawyers concerning being sued for defamation over the shows portrayal of Greeks-in-America (much like Oliver Stone toned down Alexander the Great's supposed homosexuality in the film ALEXANDER after being threatened by a group of Greek lawyers). So the producers put in that line as a disclaimer at the last minute. The main writer of the Greek episodes is famed crime writer George Pelecanos who was responsible for fleshing out the characters and making the story lines realistic. If you google his reaction to the producers (Independent 2009) putting in that line at the last minute without his opinion - he states clearly it was ridiculous and undid all his previous work on The Wire. The Greek at the end saying he is not even Greek has nothing to do with the story - it is simply a rare example of political correctness infecting The Wire. The writer who wrote this final episode was David Simon and Pelacanos said he felt cheated.
Didn't know about this at all.
