I got comic fatigue in general when I realized the big 2 companies weren't gonna stop hoppin from "event" to "event". Events got more lame each time.

First one that I wasn't into was the one where odin had a brother, fear itself

then there was age of ultron

then original sin where nick fury whispered in thor's ear and now he couldn't lift mjolnir

and nick fury being old as fukk and ODing on LMDs in general

too much consecutive poorly written fukkery for me

Stopped reading millar's work when I revisited some stuff and it felt hackish and OD sadistic

nikka's basically a scottish lee daniels

I only have some old Milestone comics and Marvel Ultimate Vol. comics. So If I get some details wrong forgive me. One is this Ultimate X-Men collection. In the story Magneto had his mind wiped and was teaching kids with special needs anyway Brotherhood Of Mutants wanted their leader back so with the help of these hybrid/ humanoid/creature mutants they got him back and Magneto repays the leader of the hybrid creature mutants by murdering him because he was an abomination :wtf:

I stopped watching Luke Cage after they introduced Diamondback as his brother. Never went back.

I have watched some eps this season (like 5) of The Affair but probably won't watch anymore.
I lost it for this show when

Cole's brother death turned out to be an accident when they spent almost two full seasons building it up as a 'whodunit?!" murder type scenario.

Post-timeskip Naruto :hubie:

I've heard it's gotten better, but I can't summon the will to get back into it. Too many classic character got tossed aside like afterthoughts for the sake of the Naruto and Sasuke show. Rock Lee :banderas:
Naruto, your friend is clearly a demon who doesn't want to be saved but would rather callously murder people and wallow in demonic filth. It's time to find a new friend, friend.

Claremont's X-men is *mostly* :hubie: to me after they brought Jean back to life. Too many great characters got written out (Kitty, Prof. X, Nightcrawler), Madelyne Pryor was a mistake, I didn't like how they character assassinated Cyclops by turning him into a deadbeat dad, and Jean really should have stayed dead after the Dark Phoenix Saga.

I'm trying real hard to give it a chance, having just read most of the Outback era and Inferno for the first time. IMO very little of it of it really holds up to the pre-200 era outside of the Mutant Massacre, the Archangel reveal, and Genosha.
And even the morlock Massacre would have been over in minutes if they had bothered to send Magneto down do deal with the bad guys instead of a powerless Storm and several other injured characters who had no business being down there in the first place, as much as I liked that initial fight.
Honest question, and I'm willing to listen if I'm wrong:The New Mutants had a teleporter. Couldn't Ilyana have teleported them somewhere safe while Magneto handled business?

It had the occasional dope story/moment, but nothing as good as the classic stuff from the Paul Smith era and earlier.

Any Terminator movie after the first two :hubie:

Finally, the Simpsons post-season 10 :hubie:
Nowhere near as good as the classic stuff for the most part. They should have followed Seinfeld's example and ended it before it got :flabbynsick:

Love the Claremont stuff. That's my X-Men era right there. I agree tho, they should have left Jean dead.

Bleach after Aizen got sealed. Heard it ended abruptly and read the last few chapters. What a mess.

Naruto once Sasuke attacked the killer Bee's bro before the war. Too many power ups. Mary Sue galore.

AVX is the worst event I've ever read. They took the plot of Jesus Cable and ruined it with the Phoenix and Bendis' writing. Romita's art was disgusting. Stopped reading new Marvel comics until I read a Deadpool book this year.

Supergirl from New 52 after she became a red lantern. She was angry all the time and I was forcing myself to like the book.

Walking Dead after season 2, blatant rip-off, racist, red shirt, cliche show with the occasional zombie. The psychological aspect of the show died during the first season.

The new Secret war delays and all it's tie ins, then finding out we are going straight into civil war 2. I just had to fall back on Marvel comics. Too much big events not paying off:hubie:
This is where I'm at.
