Clone saga

This Spiderman fukkery was too much for me even as a kid. Ben Reiley was dope as fukk but this shyt kept going forever and suddenly Spiderman has six arms...shyt was stupid asf. I went to the WHAT IF? Books after that because at least that was supposed to be fukkery.

2. Death and rebirth immediately of Superman

I was actually excited about the idea of Kent dying and there being various supermen vying for the title, and thought Steele might have been cool. Nope, shyt was abandoned and they were all bushed except eradicator who was the dumbest.

3. Dark Reign

At this I already hated ironman because the direction bendis took him (which is shockingly similar to carol Danvers today, thus my vitoral toward her) and he was directly responsible for civil war, and secret invasion...But fukkin Norman Osborne and a bootleg thunderbolts (who's book I LIKED then) becoming the avengers? Doom even pretending to bow down to Osborne? The HOOD superpush, and even more sentry bullshyt...etc...Half way thru I just :hubie:

4. DC not picking up or supporting Jeff Smith's SHAZAM! and the monster society of evil

This was around the same time as dark Reign, both just pissed me off. This was a unique and really fun book that should've catapulted Shazam as a #1 book for kids and led to other media. Fool got like five books and nothin else. It was great, well drawn, and really captured the character well and made him special. Stupid.

:hubie:Beginning of Civil War when Wolverine got blown up. If he had just got messed up, I think I could have dealt with it but all the way to the bone...nah. Finished up the series but I realized Marvel was going a bit overboard with the character.

:hubie: Just tapped out of the Black Lantern saga....feel like the rest of the DC writers did also.

:patrice:close to tapping out of DC animation. Started off great but have been shoehorning Batman in to much. Need to let some of these other characters cook on their own like they used to.

:skip: I have to be the only person that didn't find the clone saga that bad, but that was the first Spiderman story I got into so maybe its just nostalgia.

One more day. Spider man makes a deal with the devil to save old ass aunt may. I was done
It was so beautifully drawn, but wasted on a bullshyt ass story

Quesada should be the exclusive spiderman artist i swear
The new Secret war delays and all it's tie ins, then finding out we are going straight into civil war 2. I just had to fall back on Marvel comics. Too much big events not paying off:hubie:
the thing is that model worked in the mid 00s,

The payoff for disassembled was house of M (which led to messiah complex) and civil war...the payoff for that was secret invasion, and one more day, the payoff for that was dark reign, utopia, and world war hulk, etc. they smartly used new avengers illuminati as the backbone to all of that.

They felt like one flowing story...but look at what i read above....shyts just too much and the major crossovers lose crediblity when they are used over and over.
