all of it
if you've been anywhere on the internet, you know its cacs always saying this shyt. so the fukk what if he's black? the ink hasn't dried on the screenplay and the details so far are vague at best
i've seen this stupid argument for damn near a decade on the internet. "well, if bond is black. then blade should be white
"
go ahead then.
characters have been whitewashed for literal centuries. if characters are "blackwashed", a black person's first response shouldn't be "they're turning him black!"
. just accept it, think of it as it being your turn, and move on. all that matters is that the story is compelling.
yes there are original black characters but do you really think hollywood will take those risks now?
just the fact that black panther got made, and captain america is black is huge. 12 years ago stan lee (RIP) had to put in the word to get the ball rolling on BP. execs didnt want to make it cause "the technology to make wakanda isn't there". nikkas was making Avatar back then and Wakanda couldn't be done?
hell, even the fact that blade got movies in the early 2000s and spawn got made is big.
before we get more original, black, hero characters, audiences need to be exposed to leading black heroes in general. this is the thinking suits adhere to in hollywood.
its just weird seeing the reactions in this thread mirror, almost exactly, shyt on reddit, 4cac, etc
