all of it
if you've been anywhere on the internet, you know its cacs always saying this shyt. so the fukk what if he's black? the ink hasn't dried on the screenplay and the details so far are vague at best
Milestone has a long and complicated history with DC Comics. The heroes were prominently featured in Dwayne McDuffie’s run on “Justice League of America,” as well as several of DC’s animated media properties. “Static Shock” was a launch title under the New 52 banner but was cancelled after only 8 issues, amidst a storm of controversy surrounding John Rozum’s treatment at the hands of editorial. After seemingly severing ties with DC, Milestone Media relaunched under the “Milestone 2.0” banner, which seems to carry into the deal with DC.
yes there are original black characters but do you really think hollywood will take those risks now?
just the fact that black panther got made, and captain america is black is huge. 12 years ago stan lee (RIP) had to put in the word to get the ball rolling on BP. execs didnt want to make it cause "the technology to make wakanda isn't there". nikkas was making Avatar back then and Wakanda couldn't be done?
hell, even the fact that blade got movies in the early 2000s and spawn got made is big.
before we get more original, black, hero characters, audiences need to be exposed to leading black heroes in general. this is the thinking suits adhere to in hollywood.
its just weird seeing the reactions in this thread mirror, almost exactly, shyt on reddit, 4cac, etc

there is no "you sound like a cac", this is, in fact, the argument cacs use.
- You making the case that you're wrong.
- Aw yes, the "you sound like CAC" defense.
This makes no sense, when you're arguement is "Hollywood doesn't want to take the risk" when Black Panther exists
Okay, okay, you want a black hero that bad. Stop being upset at people who want better.
Imagine playing pro-black by celebrating a white character made by white men and a white company being turned black for a movie that will utlimating will support the legacy of said white company and white character.
Ya'll the reason we got Carol Danvers (a risky character) and not Monica Rambeau.
Captain Marvel (a relatively unknown character) is one thing, but, a black Captain Marvel...the world ain't ready!

my argument isn't hollywood doesnt want to take the risk. it's that the risks it has taken are mitigated substantially. black panther is one of a few exceptions, not the rule. don't strawman me, breh.
nowhere am i upset that people want "better"; ascribe you're emotions to something else breh
again, no one here actually knows what version of superman will be the final product. you all ran with the idea of "blackwashing" and lost your shyt. maybe before you reach for the same played out arguments, wait on the screenplay to be revealed with details. iono, just my take
there is nothing wrong with taking concessions for the characters that were originally white but are now black and well-written. if that leads to showcasing more original black characters, what's the big deal?
but go off on your blackity black tangents
Non comic reading brehs[/6QUOTE]
I need steele pause
I’d rather have more original black superheroes and characters, not turn white ones black.
Making him Black will not make him a more interesting character......honestly the Justice League cartoon laid down the blueprint, why can’t they just do that
