Besides the fact that he is (of course) trying to conflate criticism of Israel with anti-Semitism, there is a shred of truth to what he's saying. As a Muslim, I can yell you that the plight of the Palestinians is a crisis that every Muslim knows about and has been a "hot topic" in the community for the lifetime of most people. We personally know (or are) Palestinians whose families have been booted off their property and had their homes bulldozed. So we know about this issue intimately without the filter of pro-Zionist media or pro-Zionist preachers.
The Muslim community in America has generally good relations with the Jewish community in the form of dialogue, joint community service ventures, and many shared values. My masjid has a regular "Children of Abraham" dialogue with a local synagogue where we break bread together and discuss commonalities and differences respectfully.
That being said, if a Muslim started talking some pro-Zionist rhetoric in a masjid, they would most likely be asked to leave and seek repentance, and they would probably have people ready to fight them too. This issue is no joke in our community, whether Palestinian, African-American, Ghanaian, Bosnian, or wherever your family is from.
