How many military pilots do you know? I know two.

One of them went to the AFA and got his pilot slot but bailed out after 7 years and was dealing with a lot of anxiety and mental health issues. He still struggles with extreme anxiety and alcohol issues and was QANON for a while until I pulled him back.

The other one got in trouble with the police repeatedly when we were young and joined the military cause it was his only good option. He thrived there and became a career soldier, eventually advanced to become a pilot and now trains other pilots. He's never gone to college and doesn't know any science outside of what they taught him to do his job.


The point is pilots are regular fukking people who make the same mistakes that all other regular fukking people make. Some of them are dumb, some of them are addicts, some of them are paranoid, some of them have bad judgment. When you're flying you have a hundred things to pay attention to and often are adapting to a new plane or using new instruments - in the worst cases pilots have gotten so fukking confused by their instruments that they've flown planes straight into the ground or into each other. Stop treating them like infallible gods and just look for the most likely explanation in each case.

Border Patrol Helicopter Had Bizarre Encounter With Mysterious "Highly Modified" Drone (Updated)

After publication, Dan Marries of KOLD in Tuscon provided additional information. Marries said the drone was "Modified enough to reach an altitude of 14,000, speeds in excess of 100 mph with a headwind, and range of 70 miles."

Marries also passed along his segment about the drone encounter that aired on Tucson’s KOLD News. In the segment, Marries interviews FBI special agent Nowak (no first name given), who said the drone made “erratic maneuvers” and even strayed into military airspace. According to Nowak, the helicopter had to take evasive action to avoid the drone. A police report filed after the incident stated the drone had a single green light on its underbelly, and the FBI special agent interviewed said the drone was estimated to be between four and six feet in diameter. The FBI is unsure if it was a four- or six-rotor configuration, but the agent interviewed stated the drone had to be “heavily modified” based on its speed, altitude, and endurance.

Pilots, in particular military pilots, are very competent WHEN IT COMES TO AIRCRAFT. I was never suggesting they're brilliant intelligencia.

I'm a Army veteran, tankers are competent in tanks and tracked vehicles, weapons specialist are competent in weapons, etc.

To put it in layman's reference, you're trying to say that because a car mechanic has alcohol problems, or beat his wife, or doesn't know metaphysics he isn't competent in car mechanics. Ridiculous and intellectually dishonest.

These are sometimes military personnel (rather you want to admit it or not, costing millions to train) who are competent in their areas of training: radar, drones, aircraft, etc., and you and others are suggesting they don't know what the fukk they seen! That's irresponsible, deceptive, dishonest, and denial.
