And the point to give it to black male actors. Those characters are meant to be on the periphery just to say "we have blacks" and not in leadership roles.
I dont think they're safe forever either, particularly due to the medium of a television show starring actors, rather than a comic. Regardless, this is a show about fukked up situations and every character is flawed in some way and goes through some terrible shyt.
