Dude got bigger stamina issue than Yao had. I be seeing him labor. And he don’t be bang in the paint as much as Yao did. He on the perimeter much more than Yao.

Yao has those stamina issues early on but a coach that really helped him with that issue was Adelman. Maybe the Sixers should look in Rock Adelman. He could do wonders for that underwhelming offense Of that team

THE "BEST POST PLAYER
IN THE LEAGUE"
WENT A WHOLE SERIES WITHOUT
MAKING ONE SIMPLE HOOK SHOT
OVER A 6'8 CENTER.

KAT IS A MORE SKILLED POST PLAYER
THAN EMBIID ALSO, HES JUST
SOFT ASS shyt AT TIMES.

SO IS JAHLIL OKAFOR
BUT HE DAMN NEAR BLACK BALLED
HIMSELF OUT THE LEAGUE
DUE TO HIS IMMATURITY IN PHILLY.

EMBIID HAS GOTTEN BY
OFF BULLY TACTICS AND JUMP SHOTS
HIS WHOLE CAREER AND
IT ALWAYS CATCHES UP TO HIM
IN THE PLAYOFFS.

I ROOT FOR EMBIID BECAUSE
I WANT THE LEAGUE TO HAVE
DOMINANT POST PLAYERS
BUT DUDE IS FLASHY
FOOLS GOLD.

It's hard to do hook shots when defenders are helping off perimeter shooters and swiping the ball out of his hand before he can get the ball above his shoulders.

Okafor nearly ran himself out of the league because he's clueless on defense. Also, he doesn't get to the line much and (understandably) doesn't shoot threes, so he just isn't a very efficient scorer. When he gets the ball either he's getting two points or his team's getting nothing out of that possession.

I'll give him this credit, he's a lot better at setting up quickly near the basket and getting quicker buckets now in New Orleans than he was here.

It's never his fault.
They get him the ball only for him to get doubled into a turnover and it's they didn't get him the ball fast enough
Ben out and they center the whole offense around him and shooters on the perimeter and it becomes the shooters ain't good enough
I'm sure the body language and fatigue issues somebody else fault too
:francis:

What shooters? They either traded or didnt resign their best shooters. Their spacing is trash

That being said Jo conditioning is still garbage

RUN THE FLOOR and get easier points

Embiid is a perfect example that skills and footwork aren’t always the sole barometer of your post game.

Its the same shyt every offseason, and he aint getting no younger...

burks, korkmaz, and milton all shoot over 40% from three
guys like richardson, tobias and horford shoot avg but they are still threats if wide open
those guys aren't jj redikk obviously but they all shoot better than saric, shamet, belinelli and covington or whoever ppl always talking about

ALL GREAT BIGS
HAVE TO DEAL WITH THIS.

HE NEEDS TO LEARN HOW
TO GET DEEP POSITION AND GET
THE BALL UP HIGH
WHEN MAKING HIS MOVE
INSTEAD OF DRIBBLING

INTO THE DBL TEAM.
HE REALLY NEEDS TO
WORK ON HIS LEG STRENGTH.

HES ONE OF THOSE CATS
WHO NEEDS 4-6 DRIBBLES
WITH HIS BACK TO THE BASKET
WHICH IS WHY BOSTON
CAN DISRUPT HIM.

A GREAT POST PLAYER
NEVER NEEDS NO MORE THAN 2 DRIBBLES
BEFORE SCORING A BUCKET.

ZERO DRIBBLES
Smart-Select-20200824-111351-You-Tube.gif

ONE DRIBBLE
Smart-Select-20200824-111025-You-Tube.gif

2 DRIBBLES

THATS HOW YOU BEAT
THE DBL TEAM.

Should I make another thread so we can argue about the defensive player shaq was during the the lakers 3 peat or no? I got time

if you’re younger than 25 years old, sit this one out

But Shaq played defense in Orlando, though...which is weird. He was a better ballhandler, rebounder and defender in Orlando, but more polished with the post moves in LA, where he decided not to do anything else.

Because playing 40 minutes a game trying to dominate on both ends of the court wears you down rather quickly over the course of a season. I think a big problem with the Sixers as a team is that they demand Embiid dominate on both ends of the court for 35 minutes a game, and I don't think it's possible for Embiid to be in great enough shape at his size to do that.

HE WASNT ASKED TO
DOMINATE DEFENSIVELY
IN THIS SERIES AT ALL.

:mjlol:THE SIXERS HAD HIM
DROP INTO THE PAINT
ON EVERY SINGLE P&R
AND GIVE UP WIDE OPEN
JUMP SHOTS ALL SERIES.

BOSTON DIDNT HAVE TO WORK FOR ANYTHING.
THEY SPAMMED THE fukk
OUTTA OF IT OVER & OVER.

The Ghetto of Oz
JO NEEDS TO LEARN
HOW TO ACCEPT THE DBL TEAM
BEFORE EVER PUTTING THE BALL ON
THE FLOOR.

AT THAT POINT HE HAS OPTIONS
TO HIT A SHOOTER,
HIT A CUTTER, OR FAKE A PASS.

DUDE SEES THE HELP SITTING IN HIS LAP AND DRIBBLES RIGHT INTO IT
EVERYTIME.

HIS MENTALITY
IS TO GET HIS SHOT UP
NO MATTER WHAT INSTEAD

OF MAKING TEAMMATES BETTER.

:russ:. These mofos never cut

They just stand around watching until a 3 gets jacked or a turnover happens. They don't box out and grab boards.. Ball must fall in their lap

Nobody moves on offense

They don't know what a pick n roll is

I have no idea what the coach was telling them

They're the dumbest team in the league

The thing is, he doesn't have to play like Shaq. Ewing, Dream, Admiral all turned and faced up. He can play in the post, facing forward.

But the main problem, as others have said, is that he doesn't know how to pass out of the double team. Essentially, he is ineffective at times, because he has no clue how to play a 2-man game.
