They had mastered time travel.....why didn't trunks just go back in time and slice Dr. Gero in half?

This was explained -


1. He didn't know where Dr. Gero's lab was.

2. In DBZ, travelling back in time creates a separate timeline and doesn't affect your timeline. So slicing Dr. Gero in half still wouldn't fix Trunks future.

This, Trunks world was fukked no matter what he just stayed around to help the Z Warriors so he can get to know his daddy and so he can get stronger to defeat the Androids in his timeline.

like dude up there said, he also needed to find a way to kill the androids in his timeline, otherwise it'd all be a waste. Note that Cell timeline Trunks found some blueprints to kill the androids or some shyt and that's why first form Cell killed him easily, cause he hadn't trained.

Not Krillin and Yamcha I know they hated dying. Seriously was the dragonballs used anytime before Cell appeared? They should have used them to wish death on the androids BEFORE Piccolo decided to fuse with Kame and destroy the current dragonballs... they still could have wishes when Dende came over and created the new dragonballs.

One of rules of the Dragonballs is that Shenron can't grant a wish to defeat or kill someone whose power exceeds the power of his creator (meaning that he wouldn't be able to kill anyone stronger than Kami).

Kami isn't even stronger than Raditz...

That's what would happen if they tried to wish the androids away.
