there was always something off-putting about him.

i respected how he carved out his following
but after watching for a few reviews over odd months here and there i didn't enjoy his reviews.

he just seemed like someone that couldn't enjoy the music because he was more concerned with the technical aspect and how it was made. also as a white guy that is an obvious fan of hip-hop for the most part i don't like seeing/reading other white peoples reviews of hip-hop and Fantano's i felt were quite passive aggressive to music and the culture so its no surprise to read he praised that XXX kid.

He didn't praise XXXtentacion, the video referenced is one mocking him, he gave his album like a 1 or a 2 out of ten (or a "not good"), he's made two videos condemning him for domestic violence/general behavior, was flabbergasted that Kendrick who he stans praised him, and made to videos coming down hard on the Asap Bari situation which also goes against this article's argument.
He hates xxtentacion, and comes down on white artists hard plenty of the time (like he recently did once again with lil dikky)/isn't obsessed with technicality like those white fans you're describing.
