Now that we're days after the draft, and everyone has had a chance to read the draft grades from the so-called "experts", I wanted to hear from some of the Nation fans on what y'all think. I know that there was a lot of heat for drafting the guys who are coming off injury/surgery... but from what i've read and seen from previous football players, the injuries aren't anything players can't come back from and be as strong, if not stronger.
The Cook trade-up was definitely a head scratch, but I read the sbnation column re: jerry jones wanting both Lynch and Cook... i thought Reggie leap frogging Jerry for Cook was damn comical. Most seem to think trade bait dangle is in play, but I am pretty sure McGloin is going to bolt this offseason... so there is a need for a quality backup.
As we requested, Reggie did go Secondary then Defensive line x2 so as long as JDR signed off on those players... i'm good to go.
Karl Joseph rated the highest safety (if you don't count Ramsey as S) to some outlets... should be a day 1 starter. ANYONE but Nate Allen.
Nelson/Joseph, Smith/Amerson/Carrie..
Much improved.
