the club scene featured a topic a lot of y’all vehemently disagree with…
that music be brainwashing, nikkas… not that overt tho

Thoughts?

There was an even more explicit scene right before that

Where they had 2 black men fighting each other to a hip hop song. They changed the music to R&B and they were hugging it out.

Just finished it

It was really good but not earth shattering. If you’ve seen Tales From The Hood and mixed in a little Jordan Peele you have this movie.

The third act was great though. John Boyega, Jamie Foxx, and Teyonah Parris were PERFECTLY cast and had excellent chemistry. Boyega is a great actor. The scene with him
Breaking down because he discovered his mother was fake was really good
Seems random breh. Didnt get Tales from the Hood vibes at all.

I'm usually pretty good about suspending my disbelief, but the fact they were continuously able to break into the lab so easy ruined the movie for me.

How can they afford all that tech and staff for the science shyt but not have armed security?! :what:

This:
Maybe the whites felt that the Black people were so easy to manipulate & control that they didn't need armed security.
Think about people who own a dog, but don't have a fence around their yard. They foolishly believe that the dog is so well trained that it will never stray from their yard.
Underestimating the brehs & brehettes helped lead to whitey's downfall.
Keifer Sutherland pretty much gave the rundown

Aight, now that yall are talking I wanna share a post I made on my previous account. Tell me this ain't the meaning of the movie :dwillhuh: And mind you, Barbie came out this week :wtf: #TheyClonedBuddy
The nikka™️ is a product manufactured and SOLD to our people for overconsumption. I legit look at that shyt the same way I look at Barbie and how it was manufactured and pushed on (originally) little white girls. They were created by the SAME people, and they worked hard to provide a product that uniquely "fits" you while continuing to push conformity to the stereotype. The same way there's Malibu Barbie, Outdoors Barbie, Scientist Barbie, etc.... There's the Real "N!gga"™️, bytch "N!gga"™️, Broke "N!gga"™️, Rich "N!gga"™️, etc.

Na
Really enjoyed this. Smart, funny, stylish and inventive flick. It loses some steam in the third act but that's a minor criticism. Jamie, John Boyega and Teyonah Parris had great chemistry too
LOL it’s not smart at all
It tried but it’s dumb as fukk
Figured the coil would like it tho
On brand
