Here's the thing, Tariq said his museum was gonna have a dedicated FBA section of hip-hop, this whole thing should have been on display by now. The museum should have been launched with a full on hip-hop origins documentary showing once a week at the museum. Instead Tariq bought a bunch of trinkets and printed posters off Google and has that on display instead of some real 'meat and potatoes' on hip-hop origins. Why these cats aren't calling out Tariq for that is beyond me. This dude's project management is wildly embarrassing.

You basically like Tariq, saying it's important, just because you feel it is. Exactly how does this empower us? Ok you prove black Americans solely created hip hop, now what? How do you redistribute the wealth earned from hip hop to build infrastructure in black communities? Or does this power serve like believing in the Easter bunny or Santa claus, a feel good truth with no tangible impact?

I would be more impressed with exposing the negative impact hip hop has had on black youth and exposing how white corporations and interest have been utilizing hip hop for decades to politically and socially ruin us. A documentary explaining how the Cia was behind destroying consciousness in rap music and blowing up gangster rap which still serves as a detriment til this day. Tell us why a artist can sell death oversexualized drug infused content to black youth and get 6 and 7 figure deals with McDonald's and sprite to help give incentives to our ignorance.
