losing Bourne after this season isn’t that big of a deal with Hurd and Taylor on IR. We need to resign or franchise Armstead. Pettis and Thomas can go.

Yeah, they'll let Bourne walk if the money they have allotted for him is less than he wants. With Hurd and Taylor, they'll let him go. Plus they'll have to make a decision on Sanders.

We have D-Line depth to consider, too. Armstead and Blair are the 2 big ones.

Also, Mosley is a free agent after this season. So are Ward and Juice.

Not to mention we can extend Kittle and Buckner this off-season.

The packers have good pass rushers but their lbs are slow, expect kittle to beast again. Minn really shut down kittle, thankfully gb doesn’t have their lb’s or safeties.

I dont know how one can say they shut down kittle when we barely passed the ball.

armstead I think it depends if hes ok with a tag.
bourne it depends how much he wants. taylor and hurd make him expendable. bourne hands are inconsistent. I like the effort he gives on blocking and his endzone viability

after next year sherm will be a FA plus we'd likely have to pay warner and mcg, that will be a real start of our cap test.

after that, bosa and deebo will be up and you know bosa will have to be paid if he stays healthy. but thats far away at this point.

Here is what could happen.

Marquise Goodwin and Jerrick McKinnon are cut, this alone frees up around 8-9 million if I am not mistaken.

We probably won't have the room to keep Armstead. Chances are he becomes a Seahawk or Charger (not sure about their cap situation). He loves being out West and he's a team ambassador now. There may be a slim chance he takes a team friendly contract.

Dee Ford and Kwon Alexander in my opinion will restructure, maybe move some money around or convert into bonuses of some sort

I think Emmanuel Sanders stays and takes a team friendly deal he's trying to get a ring

If Joe Staley wins a ring this year I think he retires afterward.

Either way we got a team of capologists.

At this point teams are double teaming Kittle with safety help over the top, this oddly enough opens up the run game on counters and screens and also a well time deep pass if the O-Line can hold up. That catch in the Saints game put the league on notice.

Thomas is still on his rookie deal so it can't be restructured. The question on him is if we're picking up the 5th year option or not and I think it depends entirely on Armstead.
If he gets resigned I think they decline the option; if not, they'll pick up the option and move him exclusively to the inside, which is where he played (and apparently excelled) in college. I think his sack this weekend came when he lined up inside.

After Reed 10 sack season I thought he was a must sign but he had a down year and I don't think they bring him back for big money. I could see them signing armstead but he been kinda inconsistent too

Ifedi should go but their oline getting really old and he's developed into an "ok" tackle. I'd rather keep fant and play him at rt.

Clowney would definitely help Armstead, he's been inconsistent his whole time with us and I don't know if his breakout season is due to contract or Bosa. It's buyer beware with him, I think he'd fit in good with Clowney tho if y'all keep him. I'd love to have Clowney here but I think we're set on the edges(plus money will be tight).
