If I had to choose between Kendrick Bourne and Jordan Matthews, I'd pick Matthews, Bourne has not made the leap I expected him to make compared to last year. Jordan is a consummate pro and can still contribute in the back end of a WR corps.

It’s hard for me to make a choice..... but you have a good point.

I really want him to succeed but man..... I don’t know

Id actually go with Bourne. Hear me out. Matthews is a known commodity, past his peak and doesnt have a ton left in the tank. We arent really SB contenders this year.

KB runs good routes, his hands may end up fukking up his career and are of most concern, but it's his third year - aka the year where WRs start to break out and hit that peak.

You can argue that Matthews has better explosive ability, and that is true- but how many WRs with that we really need ? We have Quise, Pettis, James, etc all guys who can beat guys one and one and have either shiftiness or speed.

If we were to win now, Id take Matthews, but for the future Id want to keep Bourne and at least see what he turns out to be.

But do we really need 3?

With Hurd which it’s said can play RB, WR, and TE. Why not just have him as the 3rd TE if need and open up space for another position we wanna keep depth at?

Whoever makes the team won’t even be active on game days, you’ll be better off picking the guy with more upside that you can develop
