False. The Black Panther (comic book character) first appeared in July 1966 and was created by 2 White men, Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. The Black Panther Party came into existence in October 1966.

Stan Lee is 95 and Jack Kirby has been dead since 1994.

i've seen this sentiment from more than her, it's prevalent among a lot of black people who feel "you must go see black panther".

i mean a nikka raised 25k to take kids to see this, kids sitting in poorly funded schools from underserved neighborhoods. like this movie is that important that 25k needs to go to taking kids to see it vs. using it to address the poor school and living situations they're in from day to day?
