I usually just wait for a review of the show and then watch it if I like
with that being said I only really use disney and HBO max since I feel like those are the only services putting out the best content IMO

I just finished the latest season of Mrs. Maisel. Before that was Reacher. I just watch Prime Series for the most part now. Most of this other stuff (agendas galore), just haven't interested me. I would prefer better films over TV shows to be honest.

Good thread.

I usually have just a handful of shows to watch each quarter because I will stop watching a show I am no longer interested in. And most shows start losing steam after season 3 imo.

I think the best way to deal with the abundance of TV streaming is to not be afraid to drop a show if you feel like watching something else.

EX: I just dropped Upload after Season 2.

EX: Season 3 Atlanta episode 2 was okay but I don't feel like keeping up.

The only show I'm making myself finish is The Chi. Hopefully the upcoming season is the last.

I ain’t even try Atlanta after the long wait between seasons I lost interest and moved on to other shows.

It’s warm outside and the world is opened back up. I’m putting tv back on the back burner and plan on being outside a lot more this summer.

Agreed. I don't know how people keep up with all these shows now unless they're reviewers.

Even all the genre shows are getting to be too much to keep up with. I still haven't watched 90% of the DC and Marvel Shows, Star Trek Discovery seasons 3-4, Picard season 2, Stranger Things, The Expanse, The Boys, The Mandalorian, or Book of Boba Fett.

And don't even get me started on anime.

I don't think it's too much TV, but perhaps too many different shows. A full series order was 20-26 episodes, so you're pretty much getting 2-3x the number of shows in the same time span. I treat the shows the same way I did on watching TV in the 80s/90s/00s on network/cable, in that I watch them at certain times and have no interest in everything that's out there. You don't have to watch everything that gets talked about. Trim those lists down what seems interesting to you...not what's trending.

It's gotten worse every year.

But just right now on Thurs Fridays alone i'm watching Atlanta. Tokyo vice. Pachinko. Slow Horses. (Severance just ended)

Also Winning Time. Moon Knight. My Brilliant friend.

Not to mention the occasional weekend Netflix or HBO Max Binge.

In the next few weeks we have:
Russian Doll S2
Better Call Saul S6
Barry S3
The Flight Attendant S2
We Own this City
Under the Banner of Heaven
Undone S2.
Made for Love s2.

And that's just April.

Obi-wan and Stranger things next month

I haven't even had a chance to peep The Tourist or DMZ yet

First world problems
You're following wayyy too much :whoa: I catch less than a 10 shows per year-- and only a handful of those are shows I'm actually watching in real time.
More often then not, it's a show that's already off the air or seasons deep and I'm finally getting around to it. This year, I'm watching:
Snowfall in real time
Atlanta in real time
Better Call Saul (binged) next season in real time.

Outside of that I binged Succession, Ozark, and that's it. If ain't boxing then I'll get around to it :snooze: eventually
