This is not about "Blackness" honey -- it's about lineage/ethnicity.

I don't understand why you don't get this.

We have a right to be a unique/separate ethnicity - just like every other Black person. By you not respecting that -- shows you don't respect us. And you allow everyone to celebrate their diversity and culture/ethnicity -- but us. Cause you think it's divisive -- cause you experience racism too. That's Crazy.

I do get it.

No one is denying you of your lineage. I did not tell you to stop celebrating that. Only you are speaking in absolutes.

I think it's divisive because it ignores the bigger picture outside of me and you. Don't flip this as me trying to gain something out of this when I'm not.

Is there any "uniform culture?" -- LOL

No, it's built around enslaved Africans who were sold into slavery and enslaved in America -- and who they and their descendants -- had to create their own culture.
Don’t argue with them. They’re not fools. They’re trying to control the narrative because said people will not reap the benefits like Affirmative Action and the Civil Rights Act.

Let Jamaicans get reparations from the UK, I guarantee you won’t see AAs trying to fukk up their bag.

If anything, you know it’s real when the powers that be are making a concerted effort to deter the conversation without flat out saying fukk you ******s. I believe if AAs get theirs, it will set off a chain reaction around the world.

This is once again incorrect.

You are making enemies out of people who do not want reparations and just want to see black people thrive.

There is no requirement in life to be a dikkhole. Believe it or not, some people do want good to happen for others without asking for anything in return. Stop picking fights and making up fairy tales with people who have nothing to do with the plight of ADOS, it's foolish.

Drawing from influences from their ancestors no? It’s why African Americans eat okra and Jamaicans eat ackee, it’s funny because Jamaicans will argue their not Africans while having a quarter of their newly formed dialects patios derive from various African languages, what makes Ados unique is that, you had African slaves from different parts of the west and centre come together as one new people..

But this isn’t even a new thing, if we want to be truly pedantic, yorubas igbos you name it can boast of the exact same thing if they truly knew their history, Akans eat jollof rice from Senegal and wear Nigeria inspired garments, all groups have links with maxi and Timbuktu, migration and amalgamation of cultures and ethnicities amongst even west Africans isn’t new, so your point about trying to separate and establish Ados as a whole separate entity is a fair one, but how long can it last, black gravitate and borrow from other blacks, so the Jamaican American biggie smalls becomes the biggest rapper in the world, 20 years later the Canadian American drake does the same, who really cares, when it comes down to it?

That's all fine and dandy - but it's still a different culture/ unique to ADOS. It's not hard to understand.

I wanna see her ancestry.com results. I doubt that she's more than 25% African. Every Jamaican ain't from Africa.

Even more important than her lineage, is her track record. Her record on dealing with Black people as a prosecutor, is not good. What good is having a black person in office, if they're just gonna do the same thing that white people do?

What bigger picture? I think and care about my people first and foremost -- but I wish all Black people well.

The fact that so many are against something that is not hard to figure out tells you so many have been using ADOS to come up, and don't want us get political. Once we get political that means moving on one accord. If that happens tons of people have to actually do their own work. That's a problem when your numbers are low. There are so many black people that these fools can sprinkle themselves in, come up, then separate. The problem is they didn't create anything for themselves, that means people in their group have to find a new way to come up when they come here.

Yall could say i'm reaching, but I think this is really what it's all about! Name any other group who would have so many other nationalities have a say on what they deserve or don't, and those people are relatively new into the country? There are none!

I truly believe it isn't them, but people in power are influencing them to say these things, they go along with it because it was in their hearts anyway

You call it divisive and divide and conquer though?

Yes, because as we waste time here arguing, nothing is being done. You see me as a threat and oppressor because apparently asking people to be more forthcoming about the movent is the same as not respecting heritage.

If that's the case then I won't bother wasting your time and I'll have to respectfully disagree.

Stupid most blacks all over the world will support reparations, stupid point if anyone is owed money the continent of Africa stands to earn trillions, the reparations aas get will be just a drop in the ocean compared to what continental Africans deserve/will get.

I don't. I want you to respect me and my people. My ethnicity/culture. Allow me to claim it, rep it and define it. There is a lot being done.

I don't see you as a threat. I welcome you. If you give respect -- I give it it back.

Okay. So why has it become a thing of descendants of American slavery saying “I don’t want someone not of the same ilk or tribe, representing their interests”?

We fell for that hope shyt with Obama and now he’s living his best life. Good for him but he doesn’t represent us. So, we know we need truly one of ours. She’s not. Imagine a half Indian and half Jamaican bedwench becomes president before an actual descendant of American slavery. Just imagine how that sounds being read aloud.

She’s purposely hiding her husband from the limelight because that would be her nail in the coffin.
