She may not be a descendant of chattel slavery here in the states but she is still a black woman here in the states. Anyone minimizing her personal experiences regarding racism and prejudice is wrong.

Black American/African-American is -- well was an ethnicity -- for Black people who were/are descendants of the enslaved -- enslaved in colonial era and antebellum era U.S.
Everyone gets to tell us who is Black American/AA --- and it's not cool. We know who we are!
Just cause your family immigrated to America -- and/or you are seen as Black American/AA -- doesn't make you that -- in terms of ethnicity.
Yeah, she can be seen as Black -- but she is not AA/ADOS -- and does not represent us -- and can not speak for us -- and is not apart of us.
Going to an HBCU doesn't make you one of us. She is Indian-Jamaican American -- and that's OK.

I agree. But, no one is minimizing -- we are simply saying Black American/AA/ADOS is not a costume you put on and take off. It's a lineage and ethnicity. Just cause you have Black skin and have ancestors from Africa - doesn't make you apart of that specific ethnicity/culture.
All you're doing is allowing yourself to be used by conservatives like to Trump to divide black people in this country.

Kamala is not ADOS, and what BLACK lineage she has is of such insignificance that she does not represent the black community. She also married a gay white man. She’s about as much “black” as Rachel Dolezal. 
Name a single nation anywhere on earth in all of human history that won independence without bloodshed? You think those in power are gonna just give power away?
