You know that's a whole thread idea right? Contradictory statements about movies. Or it's just birdman ultimatum movie reviews: Does the shyt have character development or do I get to watch people talk and interact?
Is this movie good cause if so, I ain't watching it
I think it's just a small minority of people, but I think they're just confused with what they're saying. I think he's just saying "is this movie just a lot of boring dialogue between a few people in a room?" But he's asking the wrong questions like, "do they really just stay in the bunker for the whole movie?" when he should really be asking if the movie was interesting/entertaining/tense/what have you. A good movie is typically good regardless of the premise, I mean, a movie with Tom Hardy just talking for an entire movie was interesting. Colin Ferrell in a phone booth the whole movie, sounds incredibly boring as a premise but it's a pretty tense movie.

With a movie with Cloverfield in the title I expect nothing less than a popcorn flick.
I'm not gonna waste my time on a flick I'm not even interested in.
I'm a huge fan of character development but I'm not gonna watch every movie based on that.

This is the first thing I thought when I finished the movie. It was M. Night all day but JJ made it so everybody is likeI wonder how people would react to viewing this movie if it was directed by M. Night Shamalayn instead of JJ Abrams
It probably would've gotten trashed.
John Goodman was good but it was mediocre overall imo
