Whole post is on some nonsense.

Before if I'd tells someone to check out "Oldboy", there was only one version for them to find.

Since the remake, they will find Spike Lee's version first just off it being American, with a well known lead (Josh Brolin).

Then they'll proceed to hit me with a :what: because I spent the last 10 years telling them how great it was. Then they won't check for the original because "they already seen the movie".

And before you say "that don't happen often" :camby:

It's happened for "Oldboy", [REC], and "Let The Right One In". It'll most likely happen again for "The Raid" and "I Saw The Devil".

So, I don't have a problem with remakes, I have a problem with remaking shyt that is still a part of current pop culture. This movie came out 2 fukking years ago.

Fred.

:whoa:

The US adaptations for Let The Right One In and The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo were good though (I actually preferred US Dragon Tattoo over the Swedish version)

The problem isn't necessarily the quality....but if we're being honest it will usually be the quality....the main problem is the confusion. There's no reason to have multiple versions of a movie 1-2 years after it was released.

Scust....if ur name aint Scorsese leave Korean movies alone. Movies like this and Old Boy work because of their concept which cant be recreated unless u do a scene for scene remake. But then wtf is the point? Have any of these remakes even had any financial success at all :dahell:

leave it lone ?:mjlol::scust:
you act like you directed the fukking movie
the old movie will still be there after the remake you know, it's not like the remake will replace the original.
If you like the old one watch the old one and dont watch the new one
God i hate this hipster mentality
:dead: @ not wanting remakes being "hipster mentality" :camby:

right, why make a remake, just release the korean jawn in america... or how about american directors be a lil more original and come up with their own shyt?

I actually like the people involved. I enjoyed "You're Next" and "The Guest" looks flames.

First and foremost, fukk you.

To add to what @The Jewnited States said above, he caught him but having him there in his grasp didn't give him a feeling of satisfaction, of accomplishment. So he tries to extend the killer's suffering, to feel more satisfaction, but it doesn't work. Everything goes to hell and he carries out the most brutal revenge he could imagine, but only afterwards realizes the void left by his fiancé's death is still there. It could never be filled by revenge, and so his entire self-destructive descent, and becoming the monster he was hunting, was all for nothing. :wow:

But breh, some people (good or bad) would go to ridiculous lengths for revenge with no fukks given about collateral.

The only thing I thought was wrong with I Saw The Devil was how idiotic the cops were concerning the serial killer but then the movie would have been real short if they were competent.
