Whole post is on some nonsense.
Before if I'd tells someone to check out "Oldboy", there was only one version for them to find.
Since the remake, they will find Spike Lee's version first just off it being American, with a well known lead (Josh Brolin).
Then they'll proceed to hit me with a because I spent the last 10 years telling them how great it was. Then they won't check for the original because "they already seen the movie".
And before you say "that don't happen often"
It's happened for "Oldboy", [REC], and "Let The Right One In". It'll most likely happen again for "The Raid" and "I Saw The Devil".
So, I don't have a problem with remakes, I have a problem with remaking shyt that is still a part of current pop culture. This movie came out 2 fukking years ago.
Fred.
The US adaptations for Let The Right One In and The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo were good though (I actually preferred US Dragon Tattoo over the Swedish version)
