If anyone with artistic inspiration, or direction, or motivation besides a paycheck, the move would be do go even darker then the original...which was an action thriller done basically to perfection. 'Point Break' holds up better then any 90's action movie in it's class....as far as I am concerned. It's more elegant, has aged more gracefully, and is better acted, directed, written then the John Woo helmed 90's examples like 'Broken Arrow' and the overblown 'Face Off', it's more grounded in it's approach to the genre then say, the excess of 'The Rock', and 'Con Air'....'Air Force One'. I'd say it's more watchable then 'Bad Boys' as well, with a grimier cast and setting, and better acting....A stripped down, grim and violent 'Point Break', would be dope as fukk. Just trim a little of the comedic relief down, develop a slightly more compelling love story.....it's what 'Fast & Furious' might have been, if the name of the game wasn't profit, and an appeal to the lowest and youngest common denomintaor.
