You never admit shyt. That's not your job. Wait for your lawyer and stay quite, especially if it's serious. Your lawyer is paid to know the ins and outs and to fight for a better outcome for you. They might be able to get you off on technicalities if the cops are sloppy.

If you want to cooperate wait for your lawyer to work out an agreement. Just because you tell on yourself doesn’t mean you’re guaranteed anything beneficial from the DA.
