You should keep up the French horror scene, they have some good shyt coming out, not really scary but cringe and bad dreams at night worthy. Some relevant( in the past 5-10 years) classics are Al'Interieur( Inside) and the Martyrs( this shyt will literally fukk with you, specially the ending). And old classic Salo.

Martyrs is just torture porn. They really need to seperate that type stuff from traditional horror. It's not really scary, it's more like they're just trying to see how much fukked up shyt you can see a person endure until you tapped out.


But yeah, martyrs had me standing outside on my patio afterwards, smoking a cig and looking up at the sky contemplating all types of shyt. Fuuuuck that movie

I agree with you, at this point scary movies just try to get the cheap jump out of you, which most of the time is predictable, or they go for blood and gore to gross you out. Either way that real fear factor is just gone.
