:what:

Don't see what's remotely funny about that post.

your problem really isnt with the '80s. the thing is, you clearly have a specific preference.

this goes back to my opening statement when i entered this thread.

Of course I have certain preferences. We all do. That's a given.

There are lots of 90s and even some 2000s albums, even if I have to skip, that I'd rather listen to over any 80s album.

Again, album. not individual songs. I love listening to classic 80s hip hop tracks often. Probably more often than the "it's time to be outraged" folk on here.

This!!

Same with 3 Feet High and Rising. Makes no sense :mindblown: :wtf:

I'll never take TS' opinion seriously again (not that it wasn't already suspect as hell).

Good thing I never mentioned kurtis blow or snoop. I specifically named the top rappers of the late 80s.

Did i not specifically say mainstream rappers? As for the multisyllabic rhymes it was kool g rap and kane who brought that to the forefront. Again there was a specific reason I mentioned kane, rakim, and kool g rap.

Yeah, because van halen, poison, depeche mode, the police, and the talking heads sounds fresh in 2015. (Editors note: I actually fukk with the police and and the talking heads)

You are using very specific people to support your stance but I'm referring to general music of an era so naming a few people that are slightly above average doesn't change much. Also on the other genre's is not about the music feeling refreshing I never said that , it's about it being viewed more favorably over time and having more classic appeal to newer generations. Rap doesn't do that as well, it's really obvious.

Surprised it took 3 pages to this to show up

a lot of nikkas on the Coli are frauds and don't actually know hip hop as well as they claim. Hence fake outrage.

The 80s album I had most fun listening to: it's a toss up between Great Adventures and 3 Feet High.

3 Feet High is especially surprising to me because I'm not really big on De La Soul like that. But then again, "Brakes" is one of my favorite songs of all time. They got joints.
