Without context the optics look bad but if you speak to Nigerians and understand the issues with the country you’d understand why they like what he represents rather than the man himself. And him saying Nigeria is a shythole countries is one of the reasons they like him so much cause they feel the same way

Obama played a huge role in getting Buhari in the office that has resulted in the gradual islamisation of the country, SARS is a direct result of this. Obama also killed Gaddafi which destabilized Libya and resulted in thousands of Nigerians being slaves in that country.

Trump in their eyes is an isolationist and anti-muslim. A lot of Nigerians feel either he’d stay out of their business or if he were to get involved he’d be against muslims. Nigerians see both him & Biden as racist anyway.

Initially I was shocked that Nigerians supported him during his first run but when I was given the context by Nigerians I’ve talked to it makes sense. It’s still fukk Trump though
