Album was solid. The problem with people is that things are either categorized as classic or garbage. Cole World is obviously not classic, but still good. But people don't have a category for just good. So it's "trash."

I thought the album was good for an a debut CD. I'm a J. Cole fan so I was surprised and glad it sold as well as it did.

I didn't love the singles initially but they both grew on me.

I wasn't a fan of putting "Lights Please" & "In the Morning" on the CD. They were pretty played out by then. But we know having a "Drake" feature helps with the promotion so I get it.

There were probably 3-4 Really good songs on there, they rest were good.

I think the main problem was that his mixtapes before were so good that the expectations for the CD was for it to be that much better. When the CD dropped and was basically on par with his mixtapes and not really better there was some disappointment. I think the same thing just happened to Big KRIT recently too.

I get why some people think he is boring, He doesn't tell a lot of lavish tales and do alot of over the top stunting and his production can be bland at times but I think he is on point lyrically and his shyt feels like it comes from the heart and isn't forced..

I'm looking forward to his next CD

Problem is the album is schizophrenic, featuring some great tracks and a lot of awful shyt. :manny:

And this dude can't sing. At all.

Solid 3.5 to 4 Mic Album, but He should have definitely saved Return of Simba, 2face, Too Deep For the Intro, Enchanted, and Premeditated Murder for the Album. That would have been a definite modern classic.

Cole fan since The Warm Up. That said, wack album. I can never get through it in one sitting.

It should be ashamed to have dropped within 365 days of Take Care.

I was a fan of the warm up also, before he blew up. Then he dropped FNL and everyone jumped on his dikk. Then he dropped his debut which was mediocre to me. I would rather hear a mix of my favorite tracks from his mixtapes.

I really feel like he "sold out" I hate to say that word and I am glad he has success, but the music isn't the same to me anymore.
