equalizer did do well, didn't realize. Denzel still has pull. but seriously, the movies cited here are what they are. they'll probably continue to roll out in shytty months like September and January, so i guess that's smart. The first taken came out in January, right? no one expected the popularity of that.

I stand by John Wick though, I'd be shocked if that makes money. Keanu's last movie was a massive flop.

Marvels numbers are keeping it aflout. Trust me there will be some flops, I don't think "Ant-man" is going to do that great. It's just there to many BIG comic movies dropping like "The Avengers 2" or "Bats Vs Supes" you know those are going to kill the Box Office. But I think audiences will turn on the genre in the next 5 years, it's just too much.
Yeah, Ant-Man sounds like a mess. Developmental hell for how many years and then the writer/director leaves the project once it gets going?

I prefer DC characters over Marvel's but I have no faith in the movies DC puts out. Dawn of Justice sounds like it's going to be a clusterfukk and I don't think it will do that well. At least, it won't come anywhere close to Avengers numbers.

Antman had everything going for it a few months ago. Edgar Wright's directing style + Paul Rudd in a Marvel movie would have been incredible. I'm hoping this Peyton Reed dude just does his best impression of Edgar.

That's next. Starting with the last of us :noah: and halo :wow:
hope so. im not a gamer. i don't possess the patience to play video games anymore, but some of those games look sick and seem to have great stories. I've toyed with watching walk throughs on youtube but even those are hours upon hours long.

They need to start doing spins on obscure Biblical movies. not the same stories everyone knows. And they need to make a $200 million dollar movie set in Hell. Few years ago, Paradise Lost was greenlit, but then they backed off. What's the best hell movie? i don't even know the answer.

I know it's early but this might be Keanu's comeback film cause "47 Ronin" didn't do it.

Equalizer came and went without so much a whisper. people go see Neeson movies for some reason despite the fact Taken is an overrated franchise. his BO appeal is slowly dying too, I don't think Tombstones crushed. John Wick won't make dikk.

just accept it. soon enough all you're gonna get are small indie revenge movies with elements of the old action genre. it's dead.
They are already talking about Equalizer being a franchise, man. So we will be seeing Denzel beating people down during his lunch break from The Home Depot for at least another movie.

i think BvS will do Avengers number, might not be good or anything though. But a movie doesn't have to be good to make bank, The Transformers movie are trash and they've had 2 moviesgo over 1 billion.

TBH i think the comic book genre is diverse enough that people won't get tired of it itself. sure there are gonna be flops, but not enough to derail anything.

It's cool that we will get to see all of this and we are getting new Star Wars movies too!!!

But I can't help the feeling that Batman v Superman is going to be a dud......:sadcam:

Equalizer did great with its returns

Total Lifetime Grosses
Domestic: $89,170,000 56.2%
+ Foreign: $69,600,000 43.8%
= Worldwide: $158,770,000

It hasn't broke 100 Million Domestic yet but it will. Plus it only had a 55 Million budget. Denzel always takes back end money on box office cause he knew he's consistent. Also the movie is a Hard "R", lots of violence so those are good numbers. It actually has done better than "Training Day".
