I opened up a savings account with One United about two three years ago. They don't have a branch in NY, but they are the largest black owned bank. So I said fukk it and put a stack in. A drop in the bucket compared to what I have with chase. Just as I was typing this I received a message from one united about their new partnership with BLM to empower AAs to #bankblack.

:salute:

Call To Invest In Black-Owned Banks Gains Traction In Chicago

damn see what happens when we unite. they received 1.6 million in new $$

Between the breh getting 100k for giving Dylan Roof the beats and us moving our money into our own banks, the shift might really be happening :ohhh:

Not to mention I'm hearing more and more black people talking about white supremacy. My girl was organizing her 10 year HS reunion and all her former black classmates told her that they were not gonna attend because they don't want to be around cacs and they want her to do a reunion just for the black alums :wow:

I totally forgot that Atlanta had Citizen's Trust Bank. I use a lot of online banking and the appeal is high interest. I could open up a savings account in one of these. If not that, put some stock in it.

Pretty simple and painless process at One United...

There isn't at all a sales culture at the office I went to, they just take your order and go.

I'll see over the next few weeks how their eBanking and online services are

What are their interest rates like?

EDIT: Just found out.

:ehh:Just signed up for a Checking & Savings account with Industrial Bank.

If you're used to using an Online-only bank that doesn't have monthly fees & minimum balance like Ally Bank or Capital One 360, Industrial Bank's Kasasa accounts seems to be the best bet. Also Industrial Bank has the best rates of all the Black banks.
