I'm struggling to grasp the concept of the thread premise, but thought I'll throw a few names forward anyways:

1996 - Bone Thugs
2006 - D4L
2016 - Migos
2004 - Black Eyed Peas
2005 - Little Brother
2007 - Gym Class Heroes
2011 - Odd Future
2009 - Young Money
1986 - Run DMC

:ehh:

ranking the biggest years for a rap group(with 1 entry per group).'

all the criteria is in the 1st post.
and its traditional groups. not crews or record labels.

some of the more elite groups are either ranked low(BDP, eric b & rakim) or missed the list altogether because they were lacking too much in some of the categories.

Im a fan of all these, so I can't protest too much about the order. All of them had runs and made noise

All because they changed the layout of hiphop and ushered in new waves of not only acceptance but the acknowledgement that black culture was marketable as well as dominating....:yeshrug:
